Risen from the Dead

Post by parrot » January 14, 2020, 2:44 pm

Happiness is buying a 560 Baht 12v. battery and bringing a 5+ year old Syndome UPS back to life. Bought it at Amorn's.
Also found AAAA batteries at Amorn.....couldn't find them in Bangkok.

^ Good result. However, make a note of the date you replaced it and see how long it holds up. I have had a 50/50 success rate with replacement UPS batteries from Amorn and before I buy, I see if there's an original manufacturing date anywhere on the battery. The older they are, the shorter their life-cycle IMHO. Of course there are hundreds of suppliers on lazada but with absolutely no way of checking the age of what one is buying, I avoid that source albeit very convenient.
