Android Tablet Repair

Post by BigBubba » October 22, 2015, 3:57 pm

I purchased a Nexus 7 tablet (Google product) while in America just for gaming purposes. It's developed some sort of problem with the mini usb connection for charging and/or power supply. I've tried several different cords and power units all with the same result. If you giggle the connection at the tablet the charging goes on and off. So I know the problem lies in the tablet. It's still in warranty but it would cost more in postage and time than it's worth (less than 3,000 baht new). I think a competent technician could repair in a snap. Anyone know where I could find? Thanks.

While we were back in the US, our daughter gave me her Galaxy Note III (phone).....but she had the same problem with the recharge point on the phone. As a result, I had to remove the battery each night to recharge in a separate recharge station. When I returned, I went to Landmark and had the recharge point replaced at the Smart Ages Ifix Repair and Service Shop which I believe is on the third floor (Starbucks being second floor), just two shops down from the car park entry. There are 3 technicians who repair electronics there......they all seem to be hard working and busy. I was very happy with the repair job.......600 baht and guaranteed for 30 days.
The black sign on the front of the shop says iPhone, iPad, iMac, Samsung.........the technician I worked with can be contacted at 094-305-5586

My son Thomas replaced his on his Nexus 7. We ordered the part on-line. But, we could have had it replaced for free from the Nexus 7 representative in Nong Khai, ECS. Their office is on the road that T's into the Friendship bridge approach.
