Hi

Anybody ho KNOW if you can "change" (it expire during December) from a current permission to stay for marriage (issued by the UT imm, not a Visa) to an permit to stay for retirement without obtain a Non-O first?

Presumably you are talking about an extension rather than a permission.

If that is the case, you can change to a retirement extension provided you meet the requirements ie aged 50, and money in the bank and/or income.

Visa/permit to stay question

Hi,
Did I myself the other month. A marriage P to stay was to much hassle and took to long to do. I had all the requirement for a P. to stay due to retirement, so I changed to that. The only thing you have to watch out for is , in my case, pensions come to 800,000 a year. Took a letter from my embassy stating my pensions were 16500GBPs. Converting at bank rate I made it just over 800KB. Imm said it was only 794KB. Showed them my bank book, in my wives and my name with 10K in. Imm. said only 5K was mine the other half the wifes TIT. I went to bank and put 2K in and got my P.to S.

Thanks again for the feedback, Just want to verify that this was no problem at all, just one paper extra to sign and it was done.
