New Forum in Korat

Post by Klaus » March 27, 2006, 9:21 pm

Though Lee proved himself immediately very kind and supportive in putting up the link to the new non-profit local forum for the Korat farangs where posting in english/german/french/spanish is possible, and I'm sure some of you already had a look, I still want to invite all of you to have a look and maybe suggest, what we can still do to make it really great.

Sorry though, we do not have an Issan section, neither do we plan to open one, we're confined to Korat. But that shouldn't keep you from contributing your ideas.

Cheers,

Klaus (the KoratCat) :)

P.S. Upon demand Koratfarang opened a DUTCH language board yesterday. Our member Dutch takes care of it himself.

Cheers, :)

I was stationed at Camp Friendship in Korat in 71 for about a month. My first TW had a sister that owned several houses and renting them. After I had left Thailand in 72, I found out that her sister offered us a house for free to live in while in Korat...... :yikes: Camp Friendship and the airbase were closing down, so I was transferred to Camp Samae San near Utapao Airbase.

You're absolutely right, it's looking more and more like Bangkok; that's what happens if too many people like the same place.

Why don't you just make a detour? There's more than just one road to Rome ehm . . Korat. :)

The KK-Korat road is notorious for the BIB stopping people on the highway for 'allegedly' doing this or that wrongly.

Used in many times when my brother-in-law was at Srinakarin Hospital. Never had any trouble. Maybe you shouldn't go at times when money is needed for the kids school fees, a week before payday etc. It's just a road like any others in Thailand

Or maybe you should make sure you're not speeding, driving permanently in the passing lane etc. :)
