Re: The Riders
This is meant to be a really big thing. An organiser I spoke to months back suggested the biggest bike thing in Thailand???
But there's also some big bands coming for the music bit, Carabao particularly popular. I imagine the place will be packed out and feel traffic problems inevitable. Enjoy, if it's your scene.

Nowhere close.
At least this "Bike Week" will actually be held over 3 days, Fri-Sat-Sun. Most "Bike Weeks" held here are Saturday & Saturday night only....
Much, much bigger is Chang Mai, Pattaya (very big nowadays), and the biggest of them all, Phuket Bike Week, which really is huge and people come from all over the globe for that one, and is featured in various m/c magazines worldwide.
Re: The Riders
First motorcycle trip starts at noon today. Destination Kham Chanot Forest, Amphur Ban Dung.

Re: The Riders
A bit late in the day, but seemed a bit strange that posts stopped once the thing got started. Only interested to know whether the event proved a success, or perhaps disappointed on e.g. attendance.

Re: The Riders
The Riders Festival was a success especially considering being in its first year, the busiest day and night was on the Saturday night where there was up to 2 - 3000 big bikes parked up, it was certainly an exciting atmosphere,
All targets for the Charity's were met and most of the main sponsors were happy with Harley Davidson selling ever eight motorcycles....
Aed Carabao auctioned off his guitar for 120,000 baht at the end of the concert with the funds going to the different charities, we learnt a lot from this years event which will surely make next years much more successful,
Col. Supat Chootinan and The Royal Thai Army would personally like to thank everyone that attended......
Here are some links to a lot of good pics in case you never managed to attend..

Re: The Riders
Good. I hope you would have posted if I hadn't asked!
Re: The Riders
Does anyone have information if this bike week is happening this year in Udon or nearby?
Re: The Riders
I believe it is being held at Chiang Khan this year.
