The massive jedi being built in honor of Luang Pu Lee (หลวงปู่ลี) at Wat Phu Pha Daeng (วัดภูผาแดง) in Nongwahsaw looks to be about 60% complete. If you haven't been there, it's worthy of a visit......up in the mountains (the other side of Phufoilum), nice views all around. Some massive pieces of marble have been brought in and masons brought in from Chiang Rai to carve statues of Buddha. One worker told me it'll be 2-3 more years before the jedi is complete.
My amateur photo doesn't do justice to the size of the structure. We were able to walk through out the construction area.

I meant to mention there are a fair number of monkeys occupying the vast forested area around the jedi.

I’ve been up to Wat Phu Pha Daeng a couple of times, and the views are definitely worth the trip. The construction on the Jedi is impressive, and you can really get a sense of how massive it’ll be once it’s finished. I was told it’s still a couple of years away from completion, but it’s cool that you can walk through the site and see the workers carving the statues.
