I think pepesgrill can be a bit of fun if you don't engage with him too much. I have some sympathy for him. I think the US takes a lot of smacks on the Map and it's not surprising some Americans will push back.

Earlier this year, a trip to Central America and the Caribbean by Prince William and Kate, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, was marked by protests and scorn. In Jamaica, a letter addressed to the couple and signed by dozens of prominent leaders and intellectuals called for a formal apology from Britain, as well as reparations for its legacy of slavery and colonial exploitation in the region.

“We see no reason to celebrate 70 years of the ascension of your grandmother to the British throne because her leadership, and that of her predecessors, have perpetuated the greatest human rights tragedy in the history of humankind,” read the letter.

I suppose there is or will be a lift in the mood in Oz with the change in Prime Ministers. We had that with Cindy but that's now gone.

I think I recall correctly that Abbott wanted to meet with the Queen and Duke when he was no longer Prime Minister and the Queen declined to meet him. Abbott's a boofhead.

I saw Paul Barry on Media Watch (youtube) take a look at the various remakes of Peter Dutton. I can't believe the Liberals selected a character such as Dutton to be their leader. The Leader of the Opposition in NZ is a baldy like Dutton but he has a business background. He was chief executive of Unilever Canada and later Air New Zealand. Full of corporate spin.
