Pattaya and Walking Street

Post by joudon » February 28, 2020, 8:30 am

I was informed yesterday by GF's relative that walking street has been closed for maintenance work and all bars etc are empty.
I believe this is just an excuse not to send money for her son's upkeep.
Any comments from those on here who regularly visit Pattaya.

I'm leaving for the airport in about 20 minutes. I will be there on the 29th at around 5 p.m. . I'll let you know what's going on there.

Google seems to suggest that at least 3 of the main gogo bars have closed their doors in the last week, but it seems to be financial reasons rather than street maintenance

If it has closed, somebody forgot to tell the local english press.

Also, nothing about it in the Guardian.

My suspicions justified. The local 'Guardian correspondent" must be on virus lockdown.

Cobra Gold is in Pattaya now. Bad time to shut Walking Street down with 4,000 soldiers out and about. Guess I'll be finding out soon enough.

You mean that putting the face mask on wont protect you when you hit a mountain at 600mph

God ! Do I have to explain to every one. Masks are there not just to try to protect you, they are there also to stop infected People infecting you. If you wear a mask and you are infected then your not spraying the virus over everyone. It's a two way barrier

I think the new glass mask is the best available......

place lowest part of glass just above bottom lip, tilt glass until liquid covers both top and bottom teeth (thus preventing virus from being transmitted) repeat continuously

Wow, so simple. Now I understand why I've been virus free since the age of 18
