I went searching for the recent thread, where the Thai lass with impressive English skills, was seeking advice about her relationship with the older European gentleman - but I can't find it.

I can't imagine that there is any reason for it to have been deleted, so can someone with better search skills than myself perhaps point me in the right direction?

I think in the very last post the" Shim"asked for it to be deleted Jack.

I was aware that an OP could request that a thread be closed, but not for it to be deleted.

However, if that were the case, in my opinion it would be a very regressive change of policy for the forum.

Perhaps the Moderators were so embarrassed at the naivety of so many members responding to this so very obviously mythical lady, writing such obvious unimaginative rubbish, and decided to be merciful by using their overriding executive powers and sending the thread into deserved oblivion, where it belongs.

I was the first to challenge the validity of the original post. This could be due to my past employment which brought me into contact with a great many dishonest people. It took me ages to become a member here as more than ten of my posts had to pass the moderators. This guy seems to have been able to post at will and unchallenged by anybody. I could guess what has happened but it isn't worth risking the prospect of a ban for myself.

In any event, the offending item has now been removed.

I thought I was the first but the posts have been removed so no big deal. I have to admit that I was very reluctant to comment in view of the fact that my comments may have been interpreted as a criticism of the moderators and put my membership at risk. This time I was correct and they appear to have agreed with me.
