BS - WTF is there to discuss? This AH has given himself 120 days to screw the pooch into bankruptcy before he succumbs to the inevitable - quickly followed by the minister for watches and all things corrupt.

The tourist industry is about to be saved. Entry to Thailand is going to be decided by a mutt sniffing your folds & creases as you walk to baggage claim

As from next week which Could be Sunday or Monday restaurants can sell alcohol. as normal.
Bars to remain closed.
This applies to provinces in Yellow zones of which Udon is included.

It also depends on the Local Governor giving approval.

OK, Thailand will miss the October deadline, as expected. The latest opinion in the media suggests maybe November for Bangkok and select cities?

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/asia/co ... on-2194406

However, I was having a beer in the pub last night and a friend of my mate who has a wife and family in Phuket mentioned some sort of special announcement on 3rd October. This morning I did some surfing and found the following about the possibility of cutting the ASQ for fully vaccinated visitors from the current 14 days to 1 week.

This country being run by idiots who should be "cannon fodder" and not politicians will always be the home of misunderstandings and unreachable deadlines

Hope not this time BD. I plan on coming home to mum in November and 7 days ASQ beats the hell out of 14.

They tried cutting it to 10 days before but that was pre-Delta which made them sit up and take notice, especially when it hit the hi-so's.

So what is today's latest announcement, from the Thai Government and or the Ministry of Public Health or whoever is in charge of making a final decision. on when,

1.Fully vaccinated people can enter Thailand without the need of any quarantine period.
2.The Quarantine period will be reduced from 14 days to 7 days for those entering, who are fully vaccinated
3. Maybe a new Option?

There is normally one announcement, every day, so I was wondering what is being officially stated, by ........ this morning :D

Fully vaccinated can catch and spread Wuhan Flu just as easily as anybody else. Why make requirements easier on them?

The proposals to be voted on by parliament and published in the Royal Gazette are as follows.

From 1 October: Fully vaccinated ASQ reduced to 7 days. Non vaccinated ASQ reduced to 10 days.

From 1 November: Fully vaccinated will no longer serve any ASQ. No mention on any reductions for non vaccinated.

There was also a mention that these changes will apply for those arriving by air only. Land and other entries will still require 14 days of ASQ. All current ASQ facilities are in Bangkok, Banglamung, Phuket and Samui so there's no mention of other provincial ASQ facilities opening up to support any border opening. With Laos and Myanmar being in a perilous state, i doubt there's any rush to reopen those borders although Cambodia could be.

Thanks Tam

Good news. I can now reschedule my Flight booking and possibly avoid having to book an AQS Hotel up front

Will just do the flight, at this time. \:D/ \:D/
