AEK Udon refers those seeking a pre-flight PCR test to go to the Government hospital.

This is the 'latest' published information on PCR testing at BH. I have LINE'd them for an update.

We drove into the Rajabhat University compound earlier looking for the animal hospital & there were great big signs on the way in saying "Covid 19 Tests, This Way" in English & Thai.

Sorry don't know any more as Mrs N got a phone call saying an engineer we'd been waiting for had just turned up at home so we spun right round & out again.

If I think on, I'll have another look later this week

Interesting. Since the Covid Czar has designated the CUPT (Council of University Presidents of Thailand) as custodians of the June vaccination championships, maybe Rajabhat are just getting it all set up? Or, they could be like Phuket Rajabhat and simply be a field hospital already?

Does BH give a hard copy of the test result? I imagine a hard copy would be required at check-in for foreign travel.

I've just booked the drive through service at BKK hospital Udon for this coming Friday 14th.

Cost is 5,000 baht per person.

There are 3 time slots per day. If you go for the 8-10am slot results are available same day.
Results are in English and suitable for international travel.

All can be booked via the line app.
Their FB page post (see my previous post) shows the price has shot up.

They haven't responded to my LINE query yet, sent yesterday afternoon.

I will go and ask.

Faced with checking out the crowded and inefficient government hospital, Mrs tam called Wattana Hospital instead who quoted 5500 baht. Test one day, results following day includes all paperwork. Walk-in service, no pre-booking required.

Even if you go in person, you have to 'speak' to them via the line app. All a bit strange. A tubby looking nurse helped us with the line stuff, although she could not answer any questions, only the person on the other end of the line app

Bangkok Hospital responded this morning. The drive-through test is 4900. I've booked for this weekend.

Just to add, that was an e-mail response to my e-mail query. The LINE message I sent remains unanswered. They attached an instruction form with a QR code so you can pay straight into their account from your online banking app. They also attached a credit card authorization form if someone doesn't have a local bank account.

I will post it here tomorrow in case someone else wants to get tested for travel.

F2F certificates are a requirement of the airline and/or destination/transit countries. BH's package includes one along with the test/results provenance.

Best to have one regardless since permission for air travel is under constant review in several regional countries due to the Indian variant. For example Malaysia recently added 4 south Asian nations to their "do not fly" list.

Tamada, yes interested in any more information on BH testing. So you have to book the drive in? I do not have Line and would have to pay either in cash or credit card. More headaches

^ They never responded via LINE, I set it up via email. You can pay by credit card.

I'm just going for the test now so I will post up the "Idiots Guide" later this morning (after I stop sneezing).

"Gone in 36 seconds" ...or Drive-thru PCR testing at Bangkok Hospital Udon Thani.

See attached 'how-to' that includes the QR code to pay direct Thai bank to Thai bank via your smartphone app or via credit card. The credit card charge form says send by fax or email to another number/email but just include it with your "passport, contact number , address, information of the flight, appointment date and time, Car license plate number to email : [email protected] for pre-registration process" and it's all done same-day or overnight. I sent my email booking/payment at 8 p.m. and got the appointment and payment confirmation the next morning.

My appointment was at "08:00 - 10:00" and I pulled in just after 8 on the short ramp out front with the blue tent and big 'PCR test" sign with instructions in Thai and English.
Covid-19 - drive thru location .jpg
The red car isn't there any more.
About 5 minutes later a nurse came out from ER and asked my name, confirmed it was tam and he said 'OK, 5 minutes'. Five minutes later, a nurse in full hazmat came around from ER, went into the tent and prepared the swab kit. When he walked around the front of the truck, I killed the engine, opened the window, dropped the mask and he swabbed my right nostril and back of my throat and confirmed results would be ready later today via email.

Then I drove away.
