What possible positive spin can you put on 2 deaths yesterday and 18 accumulated since 1st April in Udon. Had to go into town today for food replen. Makro much quieter than normal, traffic also much less than normal. Suppose that will be us in self isolation for another 2 weeks after hospital visit tomorrow.
Rumour mill had it Makro Big C and the market all had cases a few days ago
That's why I shop at 6 am , no one about
Can't buy cases of beer at 6 am though.
i can buy beer anytime of the day , and it gets delivered too. take about 15 mins to get replenished :D

Dont think this effects Makro but Dao just telling me its on Thai SM platforms about a big cluster 300 plus at one of the major supermarket distribution centers , now that could be hard to track...and lead to some products being unavailable on the shelves.

Dean my stuff leaves Bkk tonight though allowing longer than the usual 12 hr due to travel restrictions and check points but should be delivered over this weekend.

I’m up for correction though, I’m not very good with the translations

7 more provinces are classified as “dark red” provinces under maximum control, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration announced today. Tight restrictions in dark red zones were imposed on Monday restricting interprovincial travel, limiting gatherings to no more than 5 people and ordering residents to stay at home from 9pm to 4am.

Spoke to Mrs tam earlier. Only her nieces who have jobs are allowed in and out of the yard now. The latch is now being used on the gate to stop the neighbors just walking in but she says the whole moobahn is as quiet as the grave now and another mom & pop store has shuttered. Her brother needs to ring the doorbell to get in to get his tools and stuff for work and his wife is no longer part of our bubble.

So due to agreed and controlled numbers of returnees arriving into Udon from Bkk the province has gone dark red .. seems to me Isan provinces are being punished for keeping the virus out in earlier waves 1 and 2 and more recently 3..and for the lax handling and controls in the capital. Yes take these returnees but if they are kept under a controlled environment they should NOT be included in the numbers that determine if a province is to be coloured coded differently.

Lets wait and see if and what new dark red restrictions come into effect and how the authourities will inform the masses.

BTW Tam ..i had no problem going to pick up my ironing from casa Tam , tho had to hang about a while whilst puffy finished it off .

surely the statts are some what false if including the controlled returnees cases

Dark red zones are getting priority for vaccinations Udon may get more .....alas it appears there are no where near enough vaccines and more provinces surely will go dark red as they are on the edge of the numbers required .. Buriam , Korat , Sisaket and Khon kaen all but there..

Wife has just been to the Military Hospital.
It is closed due to an outbreak of Covid cases.
The emergency room is still open but the rest of the hospital is closed.

The governors see their local cases creeping up against a backdrop of the deep red Bangkok and 'burbs getting first dibs at any vaccines. The smart governors see the writing on the wall. If only deep red provinces are getting priority, better to declare yourself deep red sooner than later.

If it was there Thursday then why was it not reported on the websites for cases in Udon.
It must be serious to close down a complete Hospital.
One must think that being a Military Hospital it had been treating or testing an outbreak in one of the 3 large Military sites in Udon.

Maybe these cases do not count as MAYBE they can be contained.

The cases reported daily do not put Udon into a dark red zone but if there a lot of cases in the Military who are stationed in Udon It would put us in a red Zone????.
