Are we related! The MIL also lives about 10 KM's from Nong Han and is also living at the farm. Seems most of the family have had Covid now (flared up a month back) but as I understand they are not going to the hospital and not quarantining (apart from staying at the farm).stattointhailand wrote: ↑April 15, 2022, 12:41 pmJust had a call from mum in law in little village 10km outside Nong Han .......... bearing in mind she "lives" at the field in a shack and rarely visits her house in the village so has virtually no contact with other humans except by phone or the occasional visit with supplies ........ she has covid ....how I asked. Well the girl in the village who married the German guy, her family have visited for songkran and been out to the paddy for a chat ......
She says there are about 100 people currently at Nong Han hospital with suspected cases of covid
Stay safe people
Nearly the whole village is already vaccinated and so really the risk is not that great of dying unless your on your last legs anyway.
I've known many people who have had Omicron and not one who had anything worse than flu like symptoms. My wife made a bit of a meal of it and decided to isolate herself in a spare room for a week. Was a great week by the way, no nagging for drinking beer and watching the cricket. Even the dog enjoyed living off takeaways with me for the week
