Re: covid cases udon
Yesterdays figures for Covid cases in Udon.
60 total with 31 local cases and 29 imported cases.
Not too bad considering the outbreak in Sampan and Bangkok Hospital.

Unfortunately, it looks like the prison is the latest cluster.
The vaccination rate in Udon is increasing by the day. Rajaphat all week long and yesterday a good number of people at Central, fourth floor.
More foreigners vaccinated today with Pfizer.
Re: covid cases udon
I spoke with an American friend of mine, got his Pfizer shot yesterday. He said there were lots of foreigners.
The photo below is from today's queue at the university. Tuck that away in the back of your mind next time you think the queue for foreigners was bad!!

Re: covid cases udon
I am aware of a 50yo English guy from Ban Dung (no health problems, and not pregnant) who thought he would try his luck, and went to get registered last Saturday in Udon.
Another Pom, 59, but slightly obese.
Both signed up without a problem, and got their 1st Pfizer jab yesterday, with the 2nd to follow in due course.
For those under 60, may be worth chancing your arm (no pun intended) when the next registration is advertised.
YMMV.

Re: covid cases udon
Just cant afford to take the risk of getting into contact with so many people, just to register. Will just have to sit in a bit longer and wait a few weeks more until they get round to doing the vacs from the website they opened on 1 Aug. If its done by appointment the contacts should be far fewer, and being in contact with someone who is pos will be reduced. My main worry is that they let the kids back into the schools and that will spread a whole new wave into the community
Re: covid cases udon
Sunday the vaccing centre was not so busy and social distancing was easier
If had gone about 10 or 11am there was no cueing but straight to the spaced seating area

Re: covid cases udon
Jack, yep I have been advising the same BUT having both Sinovac then AZ at the Ban Dung Hospital could hamper further jabs into the forseeable future.
The vac data base is near spot on from what I have read and seen.

Re: covid cases udon
The expat vac last Monday.....375 foreigners and plenty of wives. But I never felt like it was like a spreader situation. If you butted up against the person in front of you while waiting to enter, it was your fault. I didn't see anyone jumping the queue if there was six feet of space between people in line. Seating was spread out adequately (IMO). Wear a double mask, bring extra gel if that'll make you feel better.stattointhailand wrote: ↑August 30, 2021, 6:23 pmJust cant afford to take the risk of getting into contact with so many people, just to register. As I see it, the more people get vaccinated, and especially now that the covid cases are coming down, the more people are going to out and about.
