so, does home quarantine count as "treatment". Our great nephew came down with COVID, was ATK home test positive, went to the Provincial Hospital where the PCR showed positive. His symptoms were flu-like but not overly serious. He was sent home with paracetamol, cough meidicne and with the Provincial Health office sending him Line texts checking on how he was doing..

Band Songkran travel??? That is like standing in the middle of the road and yelling Stop. Forget it
As for the numbers what is getting out of hand ??? What is acceptable and what is not.

I would respectfully suggest that numbers DOUBLING in just over a week is certainly NOT acceptable

In comparison Thailand has roughly the same population as the UK and in that time the UK has had roughly 21,000,000 cases and Thailand 3,800,000
Therefore Thailand appears to have been done a better job than others

No ......... all that shows is how badly the UK has done ......

I suspect that somewhere in Krung Thep Maha Nakhon there must be someone who believes that waiting for the worst to happen ..... and then reacting , is possibly not the best option they could take ..... one lives in hope (and dies of despair)

So what options are available short of cancelling Songkran which is highly unlikely
If one is saying the Thailand has done such a great job in protecting it citizens from Covid as you have mentioned then they are prepared to battle the next so called phase

What I'm sayin' is why waste 2 years good work in controlling the virus for a couple of days lunacy?

If you are gonna allow ridiculous amounts of travel and mixing then for gods sake get rid of ALL the bloody restrictions Thailand Pass/tests/curfews et all .......... either have restrictions or don't .... someone needs to make a decision

THey have made decisions if you have kept up with the news
In 2 years we have gone from daily infections of say 60 to 25,000 The big difference are the type of infections
And what are your restrictions you are calling for, total lockdown??? for the country

Yep. they have made decisions ......... leak it to the press 3 or 4 days before we decide, wait to see the public reaction, then make the choice based on what the public (or rather what the press tell the public to think).
If they think its time to open up, fine, let everyone move about without restrictions, cancel all test requirements and just request people to wear a mask in confined areas. Just for pity sake stop this will we/wont we, should we /shouldnt we, can we /cant we fence sitting that they have been doing for months

Judging by some comments, some of us are NOT on the same planet.
!. Thailand has by all accounts done a pretty remarkable job , more so when you see people wearing masks on motorcycles and NOT helmets...lol
2 Whatever they decide to do it okay by me, it is their country and they make the rules.
3. Udon Thani is still in a controlled zone so MASK wearing while out and about is mandatory, so why complain
4. Those that do not like thisd can do one of two thingsd, shut up and stay at home OR Leave, either way youir mpoaninmg and bitching tells me youir a person who enjoys attempting to be a clever person.

PS: I wear a mask all the time when out unless in one or two places. No-one can tell me different !!
