Nothing to do with the players "dropping their knickers', or anything else.

But why let the facts spoil a good conservative beat up. ;)

Trekkertony, what is your source for saying netballers are cosying up to gambling organisations?

This article clearly covers netball Australia's administrators, not the players!

Your post accused 'Woke' netballers of cynicism The so called woke netballers have in fact pushed back on accepting gambling organisations funding.

You have just shot down in flames your own statement.

This release clearly shows what I said earlier, the administrator of netball Australia is out of touch with the players

Looks like they were willing to forgo $15M to preserve their principles. Netball is growing audiences for women's sport very rapidly, I would not be surprised to see another sponsor very soon. If that happens they get ethical sponsors, let's wait and see.

I doubt very much if G.R. will apologise and hope not. Its about time people and or organisations started to repel against these activists come sports people. At ground level in Oz, the netballers are on the nose the same as Pat Cummins the Oz capitano.

Not taking money from a family that had promoted genocide.

I believe Lang Hancock said it around 1980 and not the right thing to say, terrible comment. His daughter did not say it, cant see a problem with G.R. Are we all going to be thrown under the bus from what our ancestors said. The giggly netball girls, get over it.

About time some of these sponsors stop putting up money for these sissies.

What giggly netball girls? This was not just a shocking statement by the old man he wanted full-on genocide. GR could have condemned such statements the way it was found to be repugnant to any decent human being. She chose not to do so. 40 years ago or yesterday, something as appalling as genocide does not age well, it is as caustic today as it was in 1980.

What world do you live in whistles, certainly not planet earth as you would know which of the giggly netball girls I am talking about.

And now you are attacking GR what her father said. How do you know that she hasnt condemned Dads comment, are you with her all the time. You appear to be one of the woke people who go back in time to bring up past comments to justify present day attitudes to suit woke agendas.

Of course it was an appalling comment made by LH and I disagree with what he said.

If GR publicly refuted her father's comments about genocide, it would be OK. That word Sport is 'publicly',

I would not conflate these two issues. One is a family's statement about supporting genocide, and while 40 years on in historical terms is recent.

The other is a an old issue spread over centuries at a national level with no direct connection to a particular family.

Who's conflating? Recent or generational, the cultural denigration is the same. It's one bigoted old man's invocation of genocide, not his family's or his business's.

Never mind. Since there's already a DEDICATED Aussie poli thread running, here's my contribution to getting THIS thread back on topic and looking at the brighter side of things here.

While on the subject of cultural denigration, perhaps you could reflect back on the offensive ethnic slur in your post 4 above this one. ;)
