That story makes out the sandgropers are a nice group of people by opening up, but they still have that chip on both shoulders they have had for over 30 years of the eastern staters coming over and stealing their jobs
Yet, they don't seem to mind a million Maori scaffies and riggers?

Strange ;)

Possible anti-covid drug by year end.

The Australian newspaper is reporting a possible anti-covid drug from Monash University.

I'm not subscribed to The Australian and can't find any more info than what I've attached below.

Maybe someone can find more info, but sounds promising.

Your absolutely correct jackspatt but no need for him to toss it in.
It may be his last roster rotation after nearly 6 years on that project.
Sydney and NSW fortunately do have a good amount of large budget construction projects underway or about to commence, I am talking commercial, infrastructure and industrial construction projects. Unfortunately that’s my limit of knowledge.
Do not have knowledge of to many other employment opportunities in the eastern states. I’ve only ever been a poor construction lad.
Might have to head home and take advantage for a final pre pension assault.

Agree Barney, I dont think anyone with job in hand should toss it in at present, no matter how frustrating it may be, =; [-( because, as sure as Hell, the competition for the next one (job) is going to be ferocious, no matter how good one thinks they are. The signs look tough for a few years to come. :-k :-#

PS. I am part way through my final assault, and counting the days down till I knock them out. \:D/ \:D/

Good luck then pip.
Corona has all but killed my final assault attempt.
If work comes up in Aussie on the East Coast I’ll just fly back and take what’s available and stay there till I can return.

Oh Barney,

you dismissed the magnitude of the crisis in April, posted fake statistics to support your distorted view to boot. Now it bites you on the bum.

It is a worldwide crisis, not just in one corner of the world. Incredibly, you still don't get it and are now calling 'poor me'

Hi Mick
Not to worried about myself but would like to see the boys in Aussie stay employed.
Yes there are plenty of projects on the books and others in the bid stage. A number to be let during July and August. If someone me needs a hand and calls me I can catch a plane to aus any day I need.

There was a ray of sunshine though with Australia and NZ winning the right to host the woman’s soccer World Cup 2023.

Getting the hotel quarantines right isn't easy. I used to live in post code 3039. That's near some of the locked down post codes. Are you soon back in lock down marjamlew?

I wasn't too far from this address:

I don't think I'd dine there. I wouldn't want to dine among Melbourne underworld figures.

We always give them free passage straight through to Qld for their annual winter break from their bleak climate.

Nah GT I'm all good. Surrounded by the postcodes in question but not in one. And fancy getting bagged by the mob who gave us Ruby Princess and killed all their old folk in that nursing home. We're all in this together until the chit hits the fan then those from the coward states take up their regular positions trembling with fear behind the couch. Soft coques to the north and west.
Oh and I see that jerk head V'landys has banned us from NRL games. I've never known a Vic to go to one. And I have never seen and NRL game where social distancing in the stands and on the terraces was an issue :D

That's the spirit. This virus could easily rear its ugly head again in the sandgroper and cockroach states. Hopefully not from an AFL player. More likely from a hotel employee getting a bit intimate with a quarantined guest.

Victorian coronavirus cases have jumped in postcode 3031, so why isn't it considered a hotspot?
How many active cases are in 3031?
In today's press conference, authorities did not detail how many active cases were in the 3031 postcode specifically.

The Government only crunches numbers for public consumption for priority postcodes (like the 10 in lockdown) as it would be too time-intensive for the public health team to release data on every single postcode in the state.

Absolute weekly winner of BS

Cause this is their numbers for other postcodes nearby
The Health Minister did break down the number of active cases in the 10 hotspot postcodes, which were:

3064 — 52
3047 — 25
3021 — 16
3060 — 11
3046 — 10
3032 — 9
3012 — 8
3038 — 4
3055 — 3
3042 — 2

There is always hope. I suspect we will see a lot more of these Trials over the next few months and maybe some positive results from the by the end of this year

The first clinical trials of a Covid-19 vaccine developed in Australia have commenced at Royal Adelaide Hospital’s PARC Clinical Research facility.

Named COVAX-19, the targeted vaccine has been developed by company Vaxine and researchers at Flinders University.

I was born in this Hospital, as far as I can remember \:D/ \:D/ but I don't recognize the Doctor in the picture

The borders between NSW the Premier State and Victoria will be closed due to the further outbreaks of COVID 19. They have an increasing number of hotspot areas being locked down including whole post code suburbs and now complete housing estate high rise buildings.
Police and ADF will man the borders and NSW airports.
Victoria has the lead in people refusing to take the test. Approx 10,000 refusals in the last week. How can people refuse testing.
