Comparing annual figures to 2 months of statistics is ridiculous.

That's not reasoning ...... it is a reaction.

I have always taken the view that everyone's point of view is worth at least cursory consideration, if not more. For that reason I have never "foed" anyone, and never will.

RLT and giggly are worlds apart in their political thinking - so no, they are not the same.

I recall a news report in mid-February where Xi Xinping had announced the need for "sweeping improvements to China’s health emergency response system" as well as "the need to strengthen legislation on public health" Curiously (for me anyway) he tacked on "the need to speed up legislation on biosecurity". I was surprised that none of the western MSM really picked up on this, especially after China's insistence that it was the Huanan Seafood Market that "caused" this and not the state biolab a couple of blocks away..
