U.K. going on lockdown, USA stopping restricting movement. WTF
Re: U.K. going on lockdown, USA stopping restricting movement. WTF
Individual Americans aren't responsible for the US's woeful mismanagement of the Covid 19 pandemic. They're entitled to post as they please without carrying the can for what's happened to date back home. It's, of course, possible that American scientists might come up with a great vaccine and for the US to come down the home strait as the winner.

I don't think he understands that a country that's a few % of the world population has 25% of the worlds deaths .as you say choices were made. Live with it. And it will get worse

On a per capita basis the UK has struggled in some respects with Covid 19 as much, if not more, than the US. However there's a reasonable expectation the UK can get and is indeed getting its act together. There isn't with the Trump administration. Trump is just too nutty to solve this one.

You think so? Aren’t you being too kind to the USA?GT93 wrote: ↑July 30, 2020, 7:59 amOn a per capita basis the UK has struggled in some respects with Covid 19 as much, if not more, than the US. Today under 1,000 new cases, still way too high.
Today over 60,000 new cases, no accurate printable comment possible

Re: U.K. going on lockdown, USA stopping restricting movement. WTF
Perhaps. But doesn't the UK still have a higher per capita death rate than the US? If it does, I expect that will flip soon.

Germans flock to Spain after Britons banned
Travel website Trivago has revealed some interesting booking trends after the FCO advised Britons against all but essential trips to Spain.
While enquiries and searches for trips to the Mediterranean country drastically dropped within the UK between July 25-27, as would be expected, our European friends seem to have had a very different reaction to the news.
In comparison, over the same dates, enquiries from other European countries increased by 55 per cent, while searches increased by 28 per cent. It would appear that a destination is more appealing to our neighbours once they know that we will be absent.
The most keen to avoid Brits abroad? The Germans, where enquiries increased by an impressive 50 per cent. The Portuguese followed at 37 per cent, the French at 29 per cent and the Dutch at 10 per cent. It’s good to feel loved.

It will probably take a couple of months (46 days if the USA averages 1,500 per day and the U.K. stops)

Yes, what a hoot.
I'd miss mech if he socially distances from the Map. He can be great fun. He's fine when there are a few boundaries.
I read the Canadians are putting restrictions on Americans travelling through Canada to Alaska. I won't chastise them wanting to socially distance from people exiting the US given the Trumpian chaos in the US. The Trump pandemic is rampant.
