You mentioned this morning that freinds tested positive prior to travel, "tested at the Bus Station and refused permission to travel , they tested positive although they all feel really well."
How were they tested?????? Intersted in the same as I will be travelling myself

You should have said that Expat vaccination in Bangkok likely to be delayed.leterry60614 wrote: ↑May 14, 2021, 6:38 pmExpat vaccination in Thailand likely to be delayed.

The point that Bangkok speaks for Bangkok not Thailand is missing
Each province makes rules for themselves. Some have already said they will not follow that policy.

I see there are a few more rumblings/statements circulating from Thai Officials and New Papers, about potentially expelling Tourists/Expats, who openly flaunt or disobey the Covid-19 restrictions. i.e. Kolor Parties, Social gatherings, and failing to wear their Masks in Public.pipoz4444 wrote: ↑May 11, 2021, 1:33 pmSorry but the Thai Government just has to get tough and cancel the Visa's of these "Arrogant Clowns", expel them from Thailand for a Year, until such time as they grow a brain and learn their lesson.pipoz4444 wrote: ↑May 7, 2021, 3:15 pmThis doesn't help the image of the Foreigner (Farang) in Thailand

Phuket's hard ball rules. Nothing like this being done anywhere else. According to my mate in Pattaya, there's no need, nobody's there.
Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
If your so called mate is in Pattaya how does he know what is happening in Phuket for the lack of people????

If your so-called brain is in Udon, how do you know what's happening elsewhere?
Never mind Bill, I see your enduring lack of English comprehension is still making a dipshit out of you.
Hi Ben. I see you're still working on a personality.

Well I assume it was the normal thingy shoved up the nose job, however attempting to find out from a Thai is a tad difficult, but suffice to say, 14 days they will be monitored in their abode and after that if clear able to travel.Doodoo wrote: ↑May 14, 2021, 6:43 pmKP

Sorry cannot be clearer, but short message unable to travel due to Covid was the only message I got.
Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
Individuals aged 18 and older in Buriram province deemed by the local authorities to be at risk of COVID-19 infection who refuse to get vaccinated, will be penalized, according to a provincial order published recently.
Those who refuse to receive vaccine jabs, as ordered, may face a maximum fine of 60,000 Baht – 20,000 Baht for a violation of the Communicable Diseases Act and 40,000 Baht for a violation of the emergency decree – and/or two years in prison.
Failure to apply by May 31st is liable to one month in prison and/or a fine of 10,000 Baht.
Anutin backed Buriram for making Covid vaccines compulsory for high-risk groups with a fine of up to 40,000 baht and a jail term of up to two years.

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
^^ This is seriously going to upset those that think Anutin hates farangs exclusively. This action shows that he's the consummate equal-opportunity sociopath.
Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
I have always thought Anutin is a square peg being rammed into a round hole , a person who has little social skills, as zero empathy towards his fellow man and uses his political clout ( why he has that I know not ) to sway everything and anything to suit his own agenda, which is NOT the welfare of the people of Thailand but of his own and his friends business and political empires.
Like many Thai politicians, the job is not to take care of the people but to enhance ones own standing and wealth, the people come a close last in those deliberations 100%.
Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
Sounds like he's just another sociopath, no? The list of "World Leaders with Empathy" is historically a bit short, increasingly so IMHO.Khun Paul wrote: ↑May 15, 2021, 8:20 amI have always thought Anutin is a square peg being rammed into a round hole , a person who has little social skills, as zero empathy towards his fellow man and uses his political clout ( why he has that I know not ) to sway everything and anything to suit his own agenda, which is NOT the welfare of the people of Thailand but of his own and his friends business and political empires.

Great idea, imprison the violators where they are sure to catch the virus and wish they had taken the offerings - what ever it might be! In the mean time Anutin will keep throwing hoops at the private sector to promote this crazy threat.
Wouldn't surprise me if he didn't come up with refusal idea and found the "patsy" in Buriram to promote it!

Re: Miscellaneous COVID-19/Corona Virus Discussion, Questions, etc.
This would appear to be the most recent CDC Guidelines for those who have been fully vaccinated.
Personally, I would still were a mask (even though I am vaccinated) at least until such time as 75% of the community had been fully vaccinated and also until such time as the Vaccine Manufacturers have the data, to tell you, how long your vaccination is good for, i.e. 6 months, 9 months or the one year?
1.Update that fully vaccinated people no longer need to wear a mask or physically distance in any setting, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance
2.Update that fully vaccinated people can refrain from testing following a known exposure unless they are residents or employees of a correctional or detention facility or a homeless shelter
