At a guess Dui Dui 49 do your research on how to maintain a healthy strong immune system, plenty of information out there. Are you seriously suggesting Udonmap is the research centre???

Why are you called fatbob?

If you are truly obese, if you seriouly want to boost your immune system, being fat is not a good strategy.

TLDR if you are over 60 take at least 4,000 IU daily, it’s not expensive, you can’t produce enough, it protects against diseases and the benefits to to your health are numerous.

One way that is guaranteed to help and not do any harm is 5,000 IU of vitamin D daily.
Get out in the sunshine i say parrot..but why not like you said 5000IU of Pro Hormone can't hurt. But why not test your PH whit a simple blodtest,if shows you have enough..you save some money.

(Technically, vitamin D is a misnomer. It is not a true vitamin because it can be synthesized endogenously through ultraviolet exposure of the skin. It is a steroid hormone that comes in 3 forms that are sequential metabolites produced by hydroxylases.
While for people who are under about 55 years old, if they spend enough time in the sunshine they may well produce enough Vitamin D for the older people they cannot produce sufficient Vitamin D

Your statement/quotation that Vitamin D is not a true vitamin is incorrect and the that there are just 3 forms is also incorrect, there are 5
D1 compounds of ergocalciferol with lumisterol,
D2 ergocalciferol
D3 cholecalciferol
D4 22-dihydroergocalciferol
D5 sitocalciferol

Also incorrect is the statement that “It is not a true vitamin because it can be synthesized endogenously through ultraviolet exposure of the skin” the idea that vitamins can not be produced by the organism that requires them is a an incorrect translation
Vitamin D is a vitamin in the truest sense of the word, because "insufficient amounts in the diet may cause deficiency diseases".
Citation; National Library of Medicine pubmed.gov
Vieth R. Why "Vitamin D" is not a hormone, and not a synonym for 1,25-dihydroxy-vitamin D, it’s analogs or deltanoids. J Steroid Biochem Mol Biol. 2004 May;89-90(1-5):571-3. doi: 10.1016/j.jsbmb.2004.03.037. PMID: 15225841.
Abstract

Official nutrition committee reports in both North America and Europe now state that Vitamin D is more of a hormone than a nutrient. These statements are wrong, and do not reflect the definitions of either vitamin or hormone. Researchers often compound the problem by referring to calcitriol or other deltanoids as "Vitamin D". These things have serious consequences: (1) The literature is burdened by an ongoing confusion that presumes that the reader will somehow "know" what the writer refers to by "Vitamin D". (2) Medical practitioners not familiar with the ambiguities administer Vitamin D inappropriately when calcitriol or a deltanoid analog would be correct, or vice versa. (3) Attempts to promote Vitamin D nutrition are hindered by alarmist responses justifiably associated with the widespread administration of any hormone. Vitamin D is a vitamin in the truest sense of the word, because "insufficient amounts in the diet may cause deficiency diseases". The term, prohormone, is not relevant to the Vitamin D system, but 25-hydroxy-Vitamin D (calcidiol) is appropriately described as a prehormone, i.e. a glandular secretory product, having little or no inherent biologic potency, that is converted peripherally to an active hormone.
Recommend levels of vitamin D are from 40 ng/mL to 100 ng/mL. The blood test for Vitamin D maybe simple but it is not one that is done routinely, or at all by some hospitals, so it has to be specially added to a standard blood test and will about double the cost, and yes I’ve had 3 or 4 over the years.

You are badly mixing your grammar there.

You jump to conclusions or make assumptions

I see neither conclusions nor assumptions just an “if” statement.
So from your screen name it seems The (Gentleman) dost protest too much, methinks

So you agree with the TLDR I posted?

The only point is that his view point, that was thought to be correct but is now strongly opposed, is the characterisation of a hormone not a vitamin. But that doesn’t change the advice, though I was slightly more conservative in my statement, I personally take upwards of 5,000 IU. For reference the USDA gives 400 IU as its RDA

Incorrect information. It may/will be required, it is not yet

Mr Anutin made the comments following a meeting involving officials from the ministries of Public Health, Transport, Foreign Affairs and Tourism and Sports. They were joined by representatives from the Office of the Insurance Commission and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
He did not say when the new measures would take effect but officials said they should start before the arrival of Chinese visitors.

Starting January 9, 2023 to January 31, 2023 travelers (aged 18 years old and above) arriving in Thailand must have proof of full vaccination; OR proof of recovery from COVID in the last 6 months; OR you may provide a vaccine-exemption letter from a doctor.

For those who may wonder what vaccine cocktails are approved by the Thai MOPH, the menu is vast and appended.

My visa expires 23/1/23 and I planned a month travelling before returning. I am unvaccinated by choice not for any medical reason so how do I get around this?
"Unvaccinated travellers must have proof of why they cannot receive a vaccine."

So now it is looking like I will have to find a compliant doctor to provide a letter stating that I have recovered from a disease that I have never knowingly had or I get creative and provide my own.

My return flight is from BKK so entry is required at some stage. My flight home isn't until late April so plenty of time for things to change but it seems that the Thai government do not consider all of the implications of their decisions.

Change your belief system and get vaccinated! It is free so cost is not a factor, but time between vaccination maybe.

why should the Thai government consider that people who have decided not to follow the rules clearly understood for the last 2+ years should get preferential treatment?

Your choices are to abandon the ticket, try to arrange a new itinerary that is just in transit In Bangkok and hope that the airline will allow the change without too much cost, abandon the planned months travel and depart on schedule rearranging the fight to late January.

The last option is likely to be the only one that is available since many countries are reintroducing vaccination requirements or covid testing, at the moment it is largely pointed at Chinese origin flights but it is unlikely to be restricted
