I’ve got it, now second nature to look for a QR code whenever I’m going in somewhere.
It’s latest update has made it better so you can “stack” places entered like if you scan into a Central then scan into a shop within. You used to have to scan out of Central first.
You also don’t need to scan out when leaving, you can just press check out when you get back to the car

More confirmation that there are rules for some and not for others.

Who they gonna blame this on. A night club in the Hat Yai district was raided today at 2am after a Tip 0ff. The owner was arrested for selling Alcohol out of Hours and a breach of the health restrictions ie no masks or social distancing spreaders.

Wonder if it's the same kids that did this stunt?

Variant 202012/01 new Covid-19 in U.K. statistical analysis summary

As with all statistical analyses the conclusions may change as more data becomes available however the numbers in the analysis are large enough that the conclusions are reliable.

Risk of reinfection: no change, still 0.6% or about 1 in 1,000, Note, reinfected individuals are usually symptomless.
Severity of illness: no change.
Risk of hospitalisation: no change.
Risk of death: no change.
Increase in transmission: yes about 50% to 55% more transmissible.
Vaccine efficacy: no evidence of changes, no expectations of change, the vaccines target several areas on the virus that are unchanged.
The current U.K. PCR test does distinguish between the original virus and the 202012 mutation, so genomic testing was only needed as a confirmation of results.

Why do you have to bring up instances in the uk Tamada it has nothing to do with England. What is or who is spreading the virus in Thailand and why is it spreading.

I have noticed many more people wearing face masks again.... alas too many with the said mask hanging on the ears and under chin ..saliva and snot come from the nose and mouth not under the chin .. pointless if not worn correctly.
My opinion is that people are doing this so the mask is handily positioned ready if they go into a place that requires mask wearing , anywhere crowded etc .. surely its just as easy to wear it correctly when out n about (not at home).

Just an observation whilst i was in town n various places.

The party is now OFFICIALLY over in Pattaya. Note at this time, this doesn't cover the entire Chonburi province.

Banglamung/Pattaya enters highly controlled status, shutdowns of non essential business, bars, malls, etc

The Chonburi Governor released an emergency order this morning effective immediately for the Banglamung/Pattaya area to help control the Covid-19 coronavirus situation.

(The order specifically says Banglamung/Pattaya, and not all of Chonburi. More information is coming in on this, the majority of recent cases have been linked to Banglamung. It is UNCLEAR if it will affect all of Chonburi, but is very clear that it affects all of Banglamung and Pattaya City.)

PS: This is all coincident with the PM's flying visit to Pattaya by helicopter today.

Talking to some one who yesterday evening has just traveled Patts to Bkk to Udon and the roads are very busy.. over 12 hr trip .. so IMO we need to look at the infection numbers after and into the NY to evaluate to damage to provinces previously seeing low case numbers.

Twood appear thousands have not heeded to advice by the PM to not travel and or hold large NY gatherings ..

...including the person you talked with.

Listening to overnight talk radio in the UK where a similar exodus prevails, one commentator said that most of those escaping Tier 4 in the southeast are "honestly scared." Pleading they should he given a break, especially after toeing the line during last April's big lock down and most having to forego a decent summer vacation. Totally played down the idea that it was more of a case of, "F*ck you Jack, I'm off!" and wilfull ignorance. Regardless of race or nationality, there's a certain mind set out there that may well be held by a minority but the danger they pose to themselves and everyone else is exponentially greater.

The new extra-infectious strain is a game-changer. The first wave lessons have been learnt but mostly no longer apply here. The Philippines have just slapped a travel ban on a slew of countries because they don't want this new variant to enter the country. A totally redundant knee-jerk response IMHO.

It's no longer a case of if, it's when.

When I was coming home around 6 p.m. yesterday, there was a "traffic check" setting up opposite Dom Udom school on the Nong Sai road, just east of the ring road traffic lights. No cops visible but uniformed and masked people in attendance so possibly a temperature check point? If anyone else sees these in their area, it will be interesting to know if A ) it's a gradual ramping up of checks all over, or B ) this was in response to some local "event" out the Nong Sai way.

There’s a huge COVID check point appeared over night outside the highway patrol building leading into Udon from a Khon Kaen direction on HWY2. I counted 10 ambulance/buses that have now parked up since this morning.

Drove through 4 times today but didn’t get stopped, in fact, didn’t see anyone getting stopped at all. Maybe they’re gearing up for tomorrow & the weekend?
