"Our estimate is that up to now, 25 million Iranians have been infected with this virus," Rouhani said during a televised meeting of the country's virus-fighting task force on Saturday.
"We have to consider the possibility that 30 to 35 million more may face infection."
It appears to be the first time a senior Iranian official has indicated the country is seeking to defeat COVID-19 via herd immunity.

The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Well it is one way of keeping the infection rates low, utilising fear as a way of the public adhering to safety rules. It seems to have worked , no matter how one feels about it.tamada wrote: ↑July 20, 2020, 7:41 pmStill no local testing either. Doh!vincemunday wrote: ↑July 20, 2020, 4:46 pm...

Just messaging with a friend in Aussie and he said to have some fun and try something on google.
Place in google any 3 digit number, followed by “new cases” and see the results.
I’ve done it a few times and there is always headlines with that exact number of cases.
He reckons a conspiracy is around us?
Maybe so.

Makes you think, back in the UK waiting for Thailand to open up, what I would like to know is where are all the Doctors, Hospitals empty, GP's unavailable, A and E departments empty, Cancer treatments and Routine Ops put on hold, Where are all these wonderful people and what are the doing? Is it the same in Thailand?
Nearly forgot, if you go Private, can get.
