"Our estimate is that up to now, 25 million Iranians have been infected with this virus," Rouhani said during a televised meeting of the country's virus-fighting task force on Saturday.

"We have to consider the possibility that 30 to 35 million more may face infection."

It appears to be the first time a senior Iranian official has indicated the country is seeking to defeat COVID-19 via herd immunity.

Well it is one way of keeping the infection rates low, utilising fear as a way of the public adhering to safety rules. It seems to have worked , no matter how one feels about it.

Cabinet approves automatic visa extension for foreigners

The Thai government said Tuesday that the visa extension will be automatically renewed until 26 September 2020 after the expiration on 31 July 2020.

Under the visa amnesty, the foreigners will not have to queue up at immigration to extend their stay in the country.

Makes you think, back in the UK waiting for Thailand to open up, what I would like to know is where are all the Doctors, Hospitals empty, GP's unavailable, A and E departments empty, Cancer treatments and Routine Ops put on hold, Where are all these wonderful people and what are the doing? Is it the same in Thailand?
