Tanita Beach had some lovely grub at the weekend. Think it’s about 7km from the intersection of love & marriage though

The food in Beyond Cafe is pretty good, I tried it in the new one Posri Road. Theres more than this but it'll give you an idea.

The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Pleasant circa 4km walk today .. aimed at Dose as reccoed by Zid .. seemed quite posh , a tad up market for a rotund, hot n sweaty Scunthonian with a heart rate like a nun in a sausage factory so took an iced capu to go and grabbed a snack at a greasy spoon on the way back.

On my morning walkabouts seeing just about every where open now in Udon .. very much life as usual, without purposely looking out for government regulatory requests such as masks n SD and alcohol hand washing you wouldnt really see notice it anywhere. Amazing how many how many small little sois n shops in seeing never knew existed.

DM going for another 8 kms tomorrow .. but got to be an early start before 5 / 6 am after curfew time as today was way too hot on the return trip... so no lunch just a coffee or Chang break en route.

Heres my motivational vid just change the lyrics to 5000 yards

The good old days without social distancing .. pop concerts festivals , footy games and DAY n Nite Udon will they ever get back to this ??..my favourite Welch band

Welch band? 5000 meters.

Congratulation on so may levels, I would not even have thought about three transgressions in so few words.

I like the version on 'Sunshine on Leath'

A shame you didn't try the food and drink in there.
I love the potato wedges with a cheesy sauce.
They also do decent steaks, pasta and ice cold smoothies which are great for the perspiring farang.

Do you take a bumbag with you on your walks ?
Put in wet wipes, small towel, deodorant, cologne spray and a bottle of water.
You then arrive at your destination looking in good shape. :D

I looked at the food whilst waiting for my iced capu and it does look great a bit pricey would have to sell a kidney again to eat there ... quite a few customers in there and some real eye candy but they were all dressed like were going to a wedding all posh like , young hiso progressives ...alas DM no bumbag and all its finery i was minging from the walk so more of a transient hobo.

On my travels my hat seems to get a lot of comments .. its a genuine black Mormon hat that came all the way from Utah USA .. Thais ask me where you buy hat Mr

Out early this morning before the birds had showered .. way cooler and better for walking.

I did not violate the curfew times .

Seems to lots of confusion as hearing places in Pattaya and Samui are open and serving booze again despite what the regs are ?? , and can confirm our customer in Sisaket has had the green light to sell alcohol in his restaurant and has been for 3 or 4 days now yet it still appears its not allowed in other locations .

Tam INTERSECTION IS VERY BUSY AGAIN

You should have counted your blessings, bitten the bullet and ordered the spicy chicken wings DM. I wish I could get to Dose. Was thinking of an excursion to Scarborough this weekend for a Knickerbockerglory at the Harbour Bar.

The Harbour Bar (The Harbour Lights its first name) was a great spot .. there used to be a fresh seafood stand directly opposite next to the life boat station ... jars of cockles =P~ .. Trek up Olivers Mount then on to Whitby for haddock n chips watching the boats come in and take away kippers from the smokehouse at the base of the cliff steps.

Know it all well. We used to have a caravan near Robin's Hood Bay. Only problem with a day trip is all the public toilets are closed so, wont be buying a milk shake if the Harbour Bar is open. It's a 90 minute drive back to Leeds!

Harbour Bar is South beach where all the amusements are. It's not actually a bar but a hiso ice cream parlour.

Been stranded in the UK since March with a g/f on her first trip out of Thailand. No prospect of me getting back imminently and she might have to return alone over the next few weeks which is daunting for her. I could complain but, would rather focus on positive things like the wonderful county of Yorkshire Tam where we all love Hovis!!
