The Blond Rat and the Sinking Ship

Post by jackspratt » June 10, 2023, 10:47 am

Further commentary by me would be superfluous.
Boris Johnson standing down from UK parliament

Former British prime minister Boris Johnson is stepping down as a member of parliament with immediate effect, triggering a by-election in his marginal seat.

Mr Johnson had been fighting for his political future with a parliamentary inquiry investigating whether he misled the House of Commons when he said all COVID-19 rules were followed.....

Boris Bottles It.

This announcement came shortly after his PM's Resignation Honours list showed that Nadine Dorries, his most ardent and sickening acolyte (and useless cabinet Minister) got bugger all for all that ring-kissing and ALSO stood down as MP with immediate effect.

DM will be gutted.

Funny that he stepped down on the day he was shown the results of the partygate enquiry to which he ha s two weeks to respond before it is made public. If hes given 1 - 9 days suspension he sits it out for those days (not difficult as he has only turned up to vote 3 times since September last year), anything 10 days or more triggers a bye election.
Hes just bought a new house in Henley so will probably stand for that much safer Tory seat at the next General Election

Give the poison dwarf a bit of credit, even he realised that giving Boris's old man (Stan) a knighthood would not go down too well with the public

Brexit is less than half "done" DM, Borders are wide open/ no import checking and the new passport checks come into force at the end of this year which will add hours to queues at busy times
Theres a whole raft of curve balls on the way before Brexit is "done" its just that they are keeping most of the British public in the dark, as they did before the orig vote

i shall miss Boris .. he livened up parliament , especially PMQs with his eccentricity, the British political world in general is worse for his departure .. our quest to find an honest politician goes on .. he may of been the last... and his legacy of a successful Brexit shall be remembered in folklore for generations.

I shall raise a glass of Moet Changdon and a fairy cake on this sad occasion.

The only thing he gave PMQ's was a cascade of lies whilst he and his cronies kicked Joe public in the nuts

Hey DM! How about this, eh?

"Sources at the Reform UK party were on Thursday floating the idea of tempting Mr Johnson to join Nigel Farage, the former Ukip leader, and Richard Tice, the Reform leader."

Having FINALLY cast Boris off in an overly small, leaky life raft, it does look like the Tories are in major survival mode now.

In other news, Nadine Dories, who quit as an MP before Boris pulled the pin, has decided she's not leaving until someone tells her why she never got the peerage she thinks she deserves. How could someone so exceedingly narcissistic and dim have ever gotten a cabinet seat (rhetorical)?

MARVELOUS IDEA Jammy .. that would get the already very successful Brexit finally over line 100% properly.

Not sure Farage n Tice would need Johnson though with their clout especially Mr Farage im sure their party Reform or another new could take enough seats to shake up the UK political landscape and ...

Plenty spare seats on Bojo's big, red Brexit bus as well.
