The correct title is Charles III, not the 3rd. Was hardly impressive while schooling for a while in Australia, his classmates regarded him as not terribly bright.
I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani

Hopefully he was just info gathering at the time, safe in the knowledge he would be able to put them in their place at a later date :-"

Charles and I had been born only 5 months apart. He briefly went to Timbertop a campus for Geelong Grammar. I went to university with a few of his classmates. They described him as being a bit awkward and perhaps a bit shy, but no scholar, in fact academically towards the bottom of his year. Perhaps his awkwardness contributed to this.

The Queen was broadly admired and loved by the Australian people, but Charles has quite often been a figure of fun, I think that passing of a much loved monarch will be the final impetus for the inevitable end to Australia being a constitutional monarchy.

Charles I had a very open necked shirt on when he died, not sure if it had sleeves.

Charles 1 had THREE shirts on when he died, as he did not want to be seen to shivver in the cold conditions and have people think he was scared

Actually it is
individual Charles 111 or
Charles the Third.. or
individual Charles the Third

Nothing else is really allowable but to each their own.

Very good. Charles Stuart (the first one) wasn't as successful as some of our monarchs, subscribing to the divine right of kings and all that. His intransigence opened the door to extremists such as Oliver Cromwell and the loony Christian fringe.

Charles one hundred and eleven, sir? Shouldn't it be Charles III?

Roman numerals not Arab, surely?

Charles III and not 111 as that would be Charles the one hundred and eleventh :-"

Bit like World War II and not World War 11 as that is eleven :D

Sorry back to the topic in hand.

Edit, seems others have beaten me to it. Sorry for repeating what others have already pointed out

It seems two of the ship's company have raised this so I'll need to discuss further with Officer IC Udon Map; Roman numerals when identifying our new monarch not Arab.

Stand easy.

I've just seen Wee Jimmy Krankie singing the national anthem on the BBC. It seems the United Kingdom is alive and well.

Nope, 11 is XI
111 is CXI.

Spaces do not count

^ so we are now saying 11 is not eleven, but XI is eleven? What is 11 then?

Have I made a fool of myself? Do I need to sit in the corner for a while? I'm feeling a wee bit anxious.

Someone please confirm that 11 = eleven = XI and also that 3 = three = III

Many thanks.

Allowing for the fact Kp.is n EX semi copus litterate teacher and many others seem.not to fathom.its as Esrnest says ..Roman numerals III .. and as has been since the monarchy was a mere stain.on the underpants of life ....

Its called history and listed as such not make believe like James Bond n Harrry Potter
