Yes that was an unintentional mistake , I forgot to change 111 to Roman Numerals. I will put my hands up to that. An error .
At least I do not resort to insulting people as DM does, but as he is from Scunthrope you have to give him some latitude , not a LOT ....hahaha

Do you have anything better to do than to just pick holes or are you intenionally obnoxious for a reason . If so kindly desist ( that means stop in plain English ) .jackspratt wrote: ↑September 12, 2022, 7:18 amJust to confirm - is there such a thing as an intentional mistake?

Yes, back in high school some of the teachers would intentionally make a mistake from a previous lesson to see if any of the students were brave enough to correct the teacher, or to see if the students had been paying attention. Of course most of the students had not paid attention; therefore, he would have to go over the lesson again. The female teachers were not as devious as the males and had a greater understanding of a student's incapacity to concentrate.

I thought it was the First World War and the Second World War. In the U.S.A., they tend to write World War I and World War 2.

The Great War was the one against the Zulus in which Michael Caine was a true hero.

WWI ran from 1914 until 1918, WW1 ran from 1915 until 1918
WW II ran from 1939 until 1945, WW2 ran from 1941 until 1945.

I had a bumper sticker in Texas that read 'Beam me up Scotty'. I often wish I could find one in Udon Thani

Interesting question of semantics, Uncle. One could argue that if it is intentional, it can't be a mistake.Laan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑September 12, 2022, 8:02 amYes, back in high school some of the teachers would intentionally make a mistake .......
That's why I was seeking clarification from Prof. Paul.

I am too old for this. Let Admiral Paul sort it out.

Gosh, I'd give my eye teeth to have the sort of attention that KP enjoys.
But he's not an Admiral yet, you know.

The Coronation is soon approaching, individual Edward's chair is being spruced up and the Stone of Destiny has returned to Westminster from Scotland for the occasion. Time to revisit the movie Stone of Destiny.
