From an opinion piece on the recent mini-budget, this line jumped out at me:
Having shot itself in both feet with Brexit, sorry old England is moving on to knee-capping.

Next UK general election may not take place before 2025. What will the wrecked economy look like by then? There are no brakes to apply to stop this train wreck from continuing.

Loving the cliches.Nothing quite like going to hell in a handbasket to sharpen the senses.

Read "Britannia Unchained: Global Lessons for Growth and Prosperity".

In a rapidly changing world, Truss and Kwarteng are challenging old and outmoded financial constructs and the outdated strictures on markets and financial institutions.

By 2025, their combined foresight and ability to think outside the box will have prevailed and British citizens will owe them a debt of gratitude. As we enter a bright, new golden age, others will learn to appreciate why Britain is prefaced with Great. Once again she will be cast as the the nation that leads where others simply muddle along in their mediocrity.

Either that or Starmer will be fcuking the dog while Davey holds the mongrel down.

The MPs favoured Rishi as PM.

The blue rinse brigade opted for Truss.

The British public didn't get a say.

And how will Kwarteng pay for all this? Well, wait until 23rd November.

Is there a valid argument for future proportional representation?

Dominic Cummings has described Truss as “about as close to properly crackers as anybody I’ve met in parliament”

Not too sure about that, theres a fair number of Tory back and front benchers that would run her close

They're all foomers. As Billy Connelly said, don't vote 'cos you'll only encourage them.

No, no - I am talking about the standard size Raving Loony Party, founded by Sutch's little brother.

Reading how Truss is now saying she should have been more forthcoming with details on the mini-budget that's caused such a ruckus. When? During the months of badgering fellow MP's on their pitiful "It's a Knockout" sham? Or maybe the weeks out on the hustings, cajoling the great unwashed into thinking she's more clever than anyone?

What a grand deceit that is. She knows full well if there was any hint of using the playbook that she co-authored with Kwarteng, Raab, Patel and one other Tory sociopath, her campaign would have been kicked into the long grass long before Round 1.

Britain's been had (again).
