General Discussion of UK Politics

Yorkshire, you say? I've read numerous times that is the greatest county in England. They won't put up with this rubbish. I understand they're as blunt as KP up that way.

Another one of these twats who claim the people voted for him not the party he represented. The gravy train must be bigger than us underlings understand.tamada wrote: ↑April 25, 2022, 10:30 amLooks like Wakefield's finest could be having second thought about resigning.

Perhaps he might appeal his conviction or be seeking some PR advice from Andrew Windsor. The opera isn't over.

Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
As it was a UK election, the population is SUPPOSED to vote for the candidate ... NOT the party
Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
They mostly all get their start in local council elections and feed off the benefits of approving a friends home extension or getting extra buses running in their mum's friends village or getting bike lanes set up. Then someone of means needs his chain of petrol station plans approved a bit faster. Another favor or two gets called in and suddenly they are in charge of towns, entire fiefdoms of graft and blind eyes turned. Next up, they get selected for MP.AlexO wrote: ↑April 26, 2022, 11:45 amAnother one of these twats who claim the people voted for him not the party he represented. The common caricature when I was growing up was of the Labour Counselor made good and trading in his Jag for a Roller when he became Mayor. The Tories take it to an entirely new level with the likes of JR-M calling for the serfs to get back to the coal face while polishing his vintage Bentley and pondering another foray in the SW1 property market. Then he'll be migrated to the Upper House, as they all do.

Pommie MP says he accidentality accessed porn on his phone while sitting around in Westminster - TWICE!
First time was in the House, and may have been during PMQ - which would be understandable under the current PM, if not forgivable.
But the 2nd time - during Committee hearings.
His wife was shocked, as was the female minister who witnessed and reported it.

Neil Parish, although everyone was hoping it would be Jacob Rees Mogg.

Hey Mr. Parish, back British porn would resonate with a lot of young British lasses:
I think Only Fans was initially a British company and I'd guess around 200,000 young Poms, overwhelmingly Pommie lasses, have tried making some money on Only Fans and other similar websites. The manosphere often throws around a one million figure for the US.

seems a bit spiteful to snitch and try ruin him
Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
I agree unless he had form making women at Westminster feel uncomfortable. She could just have threatened him not to look at porn in the House of Commons again. I bet the Tory MPs are whispering a lot about whoever turned him in and the need to be very careful around her. Her career will be fxcked.
I think young people are much more tolerant on this kind of thing now. The porn industry has changed a lot in the last 10 years. Much of it for the better. The boundaries have shifted.
On the information to hand, I think this is ridiculous.

Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
I wonder if Moggy dreams about porn during his common naps on the front benches?
Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
OMG! And you've got one of them younger, devious, underhanded and untrustworthy split-tails as your PM as well? I wonder if the blokes fantasize about her crossing and uncrossing her gams?GT93 wrote: ↑May 1, 2022, 2:52 pmI agree unless he had form making women at Westminster feel uncomfortable. Re: General Discussion of UK Politics
She's the third sheila as PM. Bit of a non-event really. I think the NZ Labour Party has been run by sheilas for decades. They're more than capable of shafting a male colleague. They're very woke but the other mob have their own significant shortcomings.
Phil from A Different Bias on youtube looked at Parish in: Tory Porn Fiend Outed - When Will This Behaviour End?
He said there are 56 MPs under active investigation for sexual harassment of some form or another.
Holy shxt. What the hell is happening in Blighty? I seriously under-estimated the problem.

Hardly a "porn fiend". I would wager that sobriquet is already taken by Ron Jeremy.
Then again, "Phil from a different bias" has more bias than your average lawn bowl. He's the online version of the droning guy holding court down the local, always leaning on the bar but right near the pumps so he's getting in everyone's way when all they want is to get a pint of mild and a gin and tonic for the wife...or like me on UM.
I heard that they're now going to make a rule that MP's cant hire their own interns or staffers or whatever it is they call ripe young totty or their rich friend's nice but dim progeny.
It's honestly getting quite hard just to cop a feel these days and that's not only in Westminster. Look at the Met for instance? They're busting an inordinate amount of cops for abuse of public office. A fair few of them are firearms officers from the diplomatic protection squad and the like.

Thats what happens when you let them get away with stuff for years and years, they just try a bit more and then a bit more again and you end up with everyone covering for each other as the problem gets worse.
Should have stamped it out in 1980's when it was first disclosed instead of hiding it
