The E U only gives to receive , and just takes because they can .
If they had shown a little compassion towards the wimp Cameron and the British people back in 16 , then non of this would be happening now , would it ?

Bank of England Downgrades No Deal Project Fear Predictions by Half

March 5, 2019
Source: Mark Carney, Central Bank Chief in report to Lords Economic Affairs Committee on Tuesday
There has been progress in preparedness and that reduces the level of the economic shock,

If you took the scenarios that we had for a no-deal Brexit and you referenced the disruptive and the disorderly, and it depends what your counterfactual is — so what are we comparing it to — if we compare those as we did in November to our forecast of the economy at the time which presumed something broadly consistent with the Prime Minister’s deal… the potential hit to GDP was just under 5% in the disruptive and just under 8% in the disorderly.
He's predicting a bad outcome from soft or hard, but worse with hard. He has been criticized by some for exaggeration.

I think there are a lot of cold feet at Westminster and they'll ask for an extension. The French might lead the "no" response from the EU.

UK’s Theresa May clinches legally binding Brexit ‘backstop’ changes, deputy says

March 11, 2019
Source: CNBC
“Today we have secured legal changes,” May said in a late night news conference in Strasbourg beside Juncker, exactly 17 days before the United Kingdom is due to leave the EU.

May announced three documents — a joint instrument, a joint statement and a unilateral declaration — which she said were aimed at addressing the most contentious part of the divorce deal she agreed in November: the Irish backstop.

Ive got a sneaky feeling she might get this deal through the house .
I was all for a hard Brexit , but now they have these legal obligations over the backstop , i think its the best deal we could of hoped for .
All depends on the legal people checking it out , of course .

I can't get too far into the weeds on this. Not my specialty, but whatever happens, I hope the vote of the People is honored and everything turns out well for the UK.

Certainly the next few days will be interesting that's for sure, but such a pity the MP's are all out for themselves and their political futures rather than our countries best interests

She said no general election and asked her cabinet and they agreed no general election so it looks like there will be a general election.

Theresa May’s Brexit deal is rejected again: Here’s what happens next

Source: CNBC
The route forward is still uncertain but May has already promised two more votes for the U.K. Parliament.
On Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, lawmakers will likely get to vote on whether the U.K. should leave the 28-member bloc with no deal, or should request a delay to its departure, which is currently scheduled for March 29.
According to this article, it looks like two choices -- clean break or delay.

Time for the nuclear option and leave with no deal. Delay only lends succor to the leaderless, headless remain camp. Despite all the wailing and gnashing of teeth saying that May, the Tories or parliament have failed to deliver on the will of the people, the remain camp hasn't really developed any practical, viable or convincing reasons that bolster their argument NOT to leave.

The UK, still the world's 5th largest economy, will prevail and will bounce back faster than the fractured EU collective could ever hope to. The sooner we bite the bullet and shut the door on Brussels, the better.
