No confidence in Mrs May?

Post by vincemunday » October 23, 2018, 5:01 pm

Let's hope this is correct! Westmonster tend to be more right than they are wrong....

Apparently a vote of no confidence in Theresa May has been triggered.

No confidence in Mrs May? For now.....

Apparently there has been a retraction, for now, but apparently it's very close.

At what point do Italy grow a pair and stand up to the EU? Italy, a once proud country with a history of commerce and democracy going back thousands of years handing their country over to the EU. This is EXACTLY why we need Brexit, if a country can't control its own currency and its own budget it's no longer a country, it's a state. The Northern states have a habit of controlling the Southern states fiscally, why on earth do they tolerate it?

Italy's budget rejected by European Commission

The Italian Government are only carrying out what was promised in their election manifesto. The EU dont like it so trying to force a change by threats of fiscal punishment. Bet there are a few in the EU upper echelons thinking this is what happens when people are allowed to vote democratically (Brexit is another example) Why dont we just stop the people voting on anything and just let us EU Superbeings make all the decisions, after all we are never wrong.

That's EXACTLY what they want, all budgetary decisions and interest rates to be made in one centralised area and in a way that might suit some of the poorer states, putting everyone on a level footing might actually help someone like Greece because you couldn't just put one country in emergency measures without putting them all in it, can you imagine the French and Germans if they were put under austerity measures? They would go mad! Of course it can't happen, deep down every country has a national identity that they want to maintain and some areas they are more fiercely protective than others, Catalan, Bavaria etc. The bloc could survive but as a trading bloc not as a United States of Europe.

Hypocrites the lot of them . Earlier this year when Catalonia voted for independence from Spain , the E U insisted that its not possible under their rules and couldnt happen .
Turn the clock forward to brexit and they are more than happy to see Ulster divided from the rest of the U K .
As for Italy , well their deputy Prime minister said they will go ahead with their budget anyway , and all the E U achieved was to piss more Italians off .

'With global markets teetering thanks to Donald Trump’s trade war on China, the current impasse could not come at a worse moment for the eurozone. Yet Brussels is demonstrating that its unelected officials blind ideology still overrides democracy. And you wonder why Britain voted to leave.'

This is an extract from an article in the Mail Online. Demonstrates just how the Dictatorship views its member Countries ( The EU likes to call them States) As the 3rd largest economy in EU land but with huge debts to the German Central Bank commonly known as the ECB, net unemployment slightly under 10% and more worrying youth unemployment at over 30% the Italians must wonder what has happened to the EU dream. It is actually succeeding, Germany has managed to buy up most of Greece. No doubt that they also own a fair chunk of the East European national assets as well and now Italy is in their sights. All without a shot being fired.

How does this Chicken Little scenario impact the EU? If the EU wasn't riding US coattails they might be more immune to the re-balancing of third-nation trade deals. The duplicity of the EU is remarkable -- they've formed a union to better compete with a superior opponent, and simultaneously whine when that opponent moves to improve its position.

Meanwhile all the host countries are waking up to the reality of their parasitic gorilla.

It looks like the EU may have met their match with Salvini, he is refusing "to even change a comma" of their budget and hinting he might even try to replace Junker, best he steps up to the plate on his drinking capabilities then....

Loved the video of the press conference when they actually used a shoe to symbolically stamp on the EU demands paper. Wish we had people with those kind of gonads in charge of the Brit negotiations.

Here's your starter for ten... a 2-part question so pay attention.

1. What nationality was Christopher Columbus?
2. What did he discover?

Here's a 1-part question.

What is the significance of Mar 17, 1861? (Hint: It's the date of proclamation of the Kingdom of Italy)

Look up "risorgimento," and "irredentism" before trying to answer this question.

Don't they teach history in Sweaty School?

Unfortunately he is correct albeit splitting hairs. Italy became a recognised Country with the amalgamation of lots of small states in 1861 ie Sardiniana, Rome etc. Germany was the same in 1871 ie Westphalia, Bavaria etc.
