DPRK (North Korea) and South Korea were in the same time zone as Japan until August 2015, when Kim Jong Il ordered North Korea’s clocks turned back by 30 minutes. Mr Kim ordered that shift ostensibly to reverse the imposition of Tokyo time by “wicked Japanese imperialists” in 1912. (South Korea did the same thing in 1954, but switched back to Japanese time in 1961 to encourage trade.) However, in 2018 Kim Jong Un ordered the clocks moved back to the same time as South Korea.

There were other experiments with time, as well. French revolutionaries, keen to emphasize the break with their monarchist past, failed to get their ten-hour clock and entirely new calendar to stick after imposing them in 1793. And the USSR’s experiments with five and six-day weeks during the 1930s also failed to endure.

After all, what better way for a ruler to show his strength than to control time, itself!

They most certainly do have the power to determine the limits of the constitutional and legal powers of the POTUS, particularly when they are acting unlawfully.

The current judicial interference is regarding forcing a POTUS to return DEPORTED illegal and criminal aliens to the United States. POTUS has the authority under both the Constitution and the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport and remove criminal aliens.

And yes, true to Leftist form, the same activist judge had no issue with the previous POTUS ignoring immigration law and ignoring the illegal payment of student loan debt.

It is another example of Leftist cognitive dissonance.

Yes, in certain, limited circumstances. Have you read the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798? I didn't think so.

The President can order all aliens he judges "dangerous to the peace and safety of the United States" to leave the country. The law on that is clear. However, the same law also provides that such aliens be served with a copy of the President's order and given an [unspecified] amount of time to comply. That's not happening. Currently they're being taken into custody and deported with no opportunity to comply.

Further, the law requires that they be given an opportunity to prove that they are not dangerous to the country. That's not happening.

Also, the law requires that such aliens be permitted to assemble and take with them whatever belongings they wish. That's not happening. With regard to belongings they don't take with them, those belongings remain their property, presumably to be safeguarded by the government until the aliens return or give instructions for their disposition. I don't know if that's happening or not, but they aren't being given the opportunity to select belongings to take with them.

The President can't decide which parts of the law he'll comply with and which he'll ignore. As I said above, the President can deport the illegal aliens, but he has to comply with the entire law, not just the part(s) he likes.

And, please, stop insulting me and other people who disagree with you. Apart from being just plain rude, it's contrary to UM rules. I've never suggested that you lack the skill of critical thinking, and I'd appreciate it if you would stop attributing that to me and others here.
