Will Trump concede?
Re: Will Trump concede?
Only time will tell how much damage Biden's pen has already caused to the taxpayers. Carry on.

Corporations provide needed jobs. I think it would be a big mistake to stick it to companies by having them pay huge taxes. I have no problem taxing the overpaid executives and closing their creative loopholes. Individuals having millions of dollars in assets need to be carefully investigated as to how they became that wealthy. That includes super wealthy politicians.stattointhailand wrote: ↑February 11, 2021, 6:35 pmB*gger all if the tax avoiders actually paid their share

Re: Will Trump concede?
I'm kind of curious of what Biden has done so far that is going to cost the taxpayers so much, especially given the fact that Trump provided more socialism in four years than anyone before him. Trump's printing machine ran 24/7 for four years straight.
Re: Will Trump concede?
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will go down as one of the biggest farces in history. While it was set up for corporatiions to keep their 40% decrease permanent, the everyday Joe's cuts will expire in 2025. Who was that to set up to benefit? Definitely not the working class.

The more appropriate question for this thread would be: Did Trump pay taxes. Just sayin'tamada wrote: ↑February 11, 2021, 10:28 pmDo hedge funds pay taxes?

Re: Will Trump concede?
I disagree. A question about Trump's tax policy has been raised and whether the working mans millions or the corporate entitys billions benefited. Trump was always touting the soaring markets as an indicator of his economic policy's success. The hedge funds were making billions and I was wondering how much tax they owed or paid. Trump's questionable net worth and a legal system that allows federal authorities to be tied up by his cabal of ---- lawyers is something else.parrot wrote: ↑February 11, 2021, 10:43 pmThe more appropriate question for this thread would be: Did Trump pay taxes. Re: Will Trump concede?
As you well know, or should know, Trump had a whole stable of high powered tax attorneys. They used every loop hole possible. That's the kind of tax code that needs revised. Closing those huge loopholes should be a priority..
It's not the corporations or companies that should be paying high taxes. They just pass higher tax costs on to the consumers by raising prices. It's the individuals who should be paying higher taxes. That will be difficult to correct because wealthy politicians use those same loopholes and protect their benefactors. They would rather tax the big companies and not close the loopholes.

Re: Will Trump concede?
Close one loophole and another one pops open. Its a never ending cycle
Re: Will Trump concede?
Wasn't the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act supposed to close those "loopholes"? That's what he claimed anyways, but that was just another lie.
Re: Will Trump concede?
Oops... yet ANOTHER lie.

Every day, more exposure of this truly vile man. Every day, more evidence of a moderate new POTUS. Today, in no uncertain terms, Biden told Ji what was important for the USA and the world, he has been tougher on calling out China than Trump ever did. China has over reached in the South China Seas, HK, the Uyghurs and using trade as a weapon, they got a straight opinion from Biden today..
Semp. RL Trader, Trekker Tony, Mickojack, Glalt, Giggle and DM have all been highly critical, Biden being under control of the radical left, a dribbling senile fool etc. Hillary taking over, Kamala being the true powerful figure, a puppet of the crazy left etc. All of those positions are looking pretty lame after only a few weeks.
I am not a cheerleader for Biden, but this administration is already shaping up as being light years ahead of the lunacy in the Whitehouse over the past 4 years. The USA is part of an interlocked world, fortress America is not viable. Biden is engaging with this world and a positive thing too.
Illegals flooding the Southern border. it has not happened, all the scare rhetoric from the Trump crazy army has been proven false......more to come.

Re: Will Trump concede?
What you are saying makes no sense. It's the companies and corporations that use these "loopholes" and wind up paying very little or no taxes every year. Even when the effective tax rate was 35%, most big corporations were paying little or no taxes on profits because of these loopholes that were supposed to be eliminated in Trump's trickle down economic plan, better known as the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.glalt wrote: ↑February 12, 2021, 2:18 pmAs you well know, or should know, Trump had a whole stable of high powered tax attorneys. Remember the group of individuals who passed these lower taxes on individuals, which benefited the wealthy the most, and who didn't close any of these loopholes for these corporations. It wasn't the far left that you despise so much, it wasn't the moderates, it was Trump and his far right Goonies who did this.
Re: Will Trump concede?
Cancelling the XL Pipeline is going to make more lawyers rich. I would expect hundreds of huge law suits asking for damages because of Biden's stroke of the pen. Who is going to pay for the billions of dollars already invested? What will happen to the sections already completed? Will Canada try to recover their investment and damages to their economy? Will the railroads build more oil tankers to transport their Canadian oil? Will the cancelled coal fired power generating plants start back up? How is the cancellation going to affect global warming? The bottom line is that this is going to be a MASSIVE can of worms that will no doubt backfire big time.
