Trump ratings soaring amid crisis

Re: Trump ratings soaring amid crisis
Why did Trump get less votes? The founding fathers knew it would be a disaster if the large cities were allowed to elect the presidents and created the electoral college. That gave the rural states a say in how the country is governed. Kalifornia is a broken sinking state. Can you imagine that far left broken state electing our presidents?jackspratt wrote: ↑August 15, 2020, 7:47 pmI'm a bit confused by the beatings of the UM forum RWNJs.
If the Bloated Orange is so loved, why did he lose the popular vote by 3,000,000 plus last time, and why is he trying to suppress the will of the people this year by defunding the US Post Office this time?
Wake up indeed!
Why should the US Postal service be eliminated? It is filled with useless overpaid bureaucrats. Like many other government agencies the post office is woefully inefficient. Some of the workers are also useless as in that they really have no productive job to do. That's not to say that all the workers are useless, that small efficient group is simply taken advantage of and overworked.
The Postal Service is obviously managed by people like the Trump hater Pratt. Pratt sees fit to refer to the president by childish grade school names. That's what is wrong with Postal Service.

Everything you say may be (or not) correct - but why would you want to change everything right now, with an election coming up, and the abysmal CV-19 actions putting huge numbers in the country at risk. Could a restructure of the USPS - if required - not wait till next year? Why should the US Postal service be eliminated? It is filled with useless overpaid bureaucrats. The question is rhetorical - Trump knows that the more people who vote by mail, the more he is going to lose by. Just like last time. His actions are blatantly anti-democratic (in more ways than one), and an affront to the US Constitution.

President Trump 2020, sorry leftys.
Re: Trump ratings soaring amid crisis
The sad and the misinformed. You believe that anyone who dislikes Trump is on the left. You don't have a clue.
Re: Trump ratings soaring amid crisis
Yes. I place myself well to the right of Trump. I don't think Trump is a conservative and he isn't a leftie either.
Lock 'em up - Eastman, Giuliani, Senator Graham, Meadows and Trump
Re: Trump ratings soaring amid crisis
You don't have to like Trump to vote for him. You have to look at the difference between politicians that actually do things rather than just talk about things and then do nothing. You have to face the facts that you cannot or should not expect the government to take care of everyone from cradle to grave. The socialist dream has never worked and never will work. That's the reason that liberal schools want to stop teaching history.

The vast majority of Trump haters are leftys, the others are just misinformed and are basing their feelings on their personal emotions and not the facts which are in spite of Trumps mistakes has done a lot of good for the U.S.

What mistakes are you referring to ...... the Orange Bullshiitter has never admitted to any?

Well I'm still here living the dream. The only thing this POS has done for the last 3+ years is divide, insult, threaten, and tear up the Constitution, including but not limited to dismantling the Post Office. Anything and everything he has done has served his own self interest. He's made a killing off the tax payers at his own personal properties. Now after all his lies and nonsense, he's going after social security and Medicare. Those are facts. As an Independent who leans towards Conservative, I will tell you he is an embarrassment. And please list the mistakes he's made that he won't admit to.jai yen yen wrote: ↑August 16, 2020, 10:32 pmThe vast majority of Trump haters are leftys, the others are just misinformed and are basing their feelings on their personal emotions and not the facts which are in spite of Trumps mistakes has done a lot of good for the U.S.
And two things he hasn't done, infrastructure and a new healthcare plan, and all the other atrocious things he has done and wants to do, greatly outweigh any positives you think he may have done.

You have to have TDS to blame any president for the mess the usps is in / I am sure they have had top people running it for years and as its biggest losses were under obama it would still be ludicrous to blame him . The state of the usps is squarley upon the people who run itKenr6583 wrote: ↑August 16, 2020, 10:55 pmWell I'm still here living the dream. LOL. Out of everything I wrote, that's what you take out of it? Where did I blame Trump for the position the USPS is in? As usual you read what you want. FYI, the Post Office did not lose money while Obama was president, it was the mandatory $5.4 billion a year the post office was mandated to pay beginning in 2006 for future retiree health benefits, prefunding for 75 years, for future employees who aren't even born yet. What private business or other federal government agency is forced to prefund anything 75 years in advance? Trump wants to dismantle the post office because he is jealous of Jeff Bezos and he wants to privatize it so is buddy's can come in and scoop it up.dragonz wrote: ↑August 17, 2020, 5:56 pmYou have to have TDS to blame any president for the mess the usps is in / I am sure they have had top people running it for years and as its biggest losses were under obama it would still be ludicrous to blame him . The post office is not a company, it is not there to make a profit, it is a service provided by the government under the Constitution for the people of the United States.
Re: Trump ratings soaring amid crisis
"including but not limited to dismantling the Post Office." What dismantling ?
I am just saying this problem with the usps has little to do with trump as it started 2006 with the biggest losses under obama 2012 - $15.9 billion loss ,2010 - $8.5 billion loss .Way above what they had to pay
Bush and obama did nothing and caused this problem but trump gets the blame ??Fact is to many delivery companies today and electronic messages.
Watched a guy from the usps this morning saying the usps could easy do the mail in vote but its some states who cannot do it and /or get the forms sent out in time

Having had a PO Box in the US for years, I can agree with some of dragonz's comments. I had mostly woeful service, with mail lost or suddenly appearing weeks after it was supposed to. A friend who used to work at that post office told me it was a shambles in the sorting area and the boss was an oxygen waster. Mail would pile up in plastic bins on the floor inside with nobody wanting to sort it into the individual PO boxes. When my mail, along with others, started turning up DIY-style in a plastic bins in the general access area out front of the lock boxes, we kicked up a stink. Nothing much happened and asking for the manager was always met with, "She's not in today". This went on for the best part of a year. Eventually she got replaced or retired and service improved. My friend said simple reorganization and actual supervision of management made everyone happier to work there apart from some dead wood the new boss fired.
However, I think overall the USPS management suffers from the same malaise that afflicts most state-owned entities in many countries. Bloated, entitled, lazy and fundamentally corrupt. Job for life syndrome.
It's surely only coincidence that DJT has suddenly taken such a yuge interest in how it's run and who runs it...

I know a guy who crushed a testicle riding in the back of an army pickup truck while in the US. The government gave him a permanent partial disability. When he got out of the army, the post office hired him. He was employed there for about three years and they gave him full retirement at about age 55. He lived very well off the two government pensions and never worked again. As far as the crushed testicle disability, he enjoyed two trips a year to Pattaya. The USPS doling out undeserved pensions is one reason they are operating at huge losses.

I don’t think what he’s saying is anything new, the article below is a couple of years old.tamada wrote: ↑August 18, 2020, 9:23 amHaving had a PO Box in the US for years, I can agree with some of dragonz's comments. Since DJT has a hatchet placed between Bezos's shoulder blades, that exceptionally good suggestion to let amazon run the USPS for a spell with a buy-in option is out the window.
Could be worse and be like the UK where if there's a failing government entity, the Tories simply hive it off to their private club member mates at Serco for great gobs of wonga.
Re: Trump ratings soaring amid crisis
Why do you see his USPS pension as undeserved? Did the USPS 'give' him full retirement or did he 'take' full retirement? TBH, I don't see the relevance of only having one bollock and getting it frequently milked in Pattaya has anything to do with it. I know at least a couple of retirees back in the UK who would give their right nut to be on Pattaya beach right now.glalt wrote: ↑August 18, 2020, 9:40 amI know a guy who crushed a testicle riding in the back of an army pickup truck while in the US.
