Hoping for a Republican win. Would not even mind if Mr Trump got back in to keep the place in order. I will see what happens at the mid term elections.

A Trump win is a Putin win and Putin will be quadrupling his efforts to get Trump or some other f ... moron across the line. Putin would love a POTUS actively undermining NATO.

Might be a good time for UK govt to come clean on Russian involvement in 2016/2019 elections

If Trump runs and gets in, it will be goodbye United states of America, welcome to Trumpland and his cronies . sort of an enlarged Disneyland but without the Funfairs.
probably have a Macdonalds inside the White House and Golfing will be a reciognised place to conduct business , enrihing the failed fraudster even more .
I feel a cull coming on .

Mates rather than adversaries. Perhaps Putin is opining:

"Alpha male to Alpha male, Donald, NATO is for losers. Trust me, you're throwing money down the toilet in Europe.

I also have a few ideas for 2024."

In 2020 there were 168 million registered voters in the USA, sadly not all of them voted and with the current situation where voter suppression is being tried by various means , whomsoever you get to run will have a tough time . But they will get who they voted for, hopefully BRAINS will overcome stupidity.

Doubt if brains will matter much now that the conservatives have managed to make it harder for EVERYONE to cast their vote.

I would like to think that voters are at the least citizens. People who vote multiple times and dead people voting could be eliminated with a national ID card. Even Thailand has a national ID card. What is the big problem with issuing the ID card?

Here we go again. The United States already has a national ID card, it’s called a Social Security card.

From what I understand there was a few, some old lady that forgot she had already voted by post, there was a couple of trump supporters who got caught trying to vote twice. Even the Michigan claim of 14,000 dead voters turned out to be a list of dead people that were registered to vote, not that any of them did vote they were just registered voters, and not all of them were dead anyway. Its unbelievable that even after all the checking and double checking that the true believers are still ranting on about it.

Noncitizens can get a United States of America Social Security number. Holders of a Permanent Resident Visa can use
their SSN to work in the United States, to conduct business with a bank or financial institution, to pay taxes or to be listed as a dependent on a tax return, and for other purposes. However, they cannot legally vote unless they become citizens.

That is why there are 3 different types of social security cards, to tell your status.

There are already checks and balances in place, you have to prove your citizenship before you can even get a voter registration card, and then you need a photo ID to vote.

As imported cheap. foreign slave labor to the US, my first SS card was over-stamped with "Valid for work purposes only"

Not good enough for the Trumpinistas. In Texas, they legislated that the voters SSN and/or TX driving license number be written on the outside of the mail-in vote envelope. Like that's going to nail postal voting fraud dead.

Wotcher! Mike "The Bike" Pence has entered the race.

As 45's veep, I initially thought he couldn't have picked a worse human being and Donald better not cark it lest we get Pence in the big house. Of course I didn't expect Trump's 4-year, one-man wrecking ball but when Mikey insisted on upholding the Constitution while the Proud Boys lynch mob circled outside the Capitol on January 6, I reckoned somewhere behind that enigmatic... grimace, there's a real statesman. With the equally odious Ron DeSantis being touted as the man most likely to trip up Trump, I reckon things just got better. What's more, his missus is a proper Karen.
