I think the point has been missed in Lone Star’s previous post that with a government that promotes a Laissez-faire approach to the economy, with it comes a financial benefit that enables the government to apply the tariffs generated to the vital national social agenda. Forgive me if l am wrong.

You're close.

Trump has said many times, and I have echoed it here even more times. Those who wish to ignore it keep trying to form a purposely confusing narrative.

Trump wants totally free and fair trade with no tariffs and no restrictions. If countries don’t agree, Trump levies tariffs to balance the books.

Agree to free and fair trade and tariffs go away.

Biden is on a spotted a55 ape roll in Iowa. He could put the kill shot on his campaign this weekend.

- There are at least 3 genders
- We choose truth over facts
- Vows and promises flood of immigration
- No more ICE raids

Add this to his "white kids" remarks and still living when Thatcher is Prime Minister, and he's proving that he's out of touch on many levels.

NY Times reports that Trump's personal favorability rating has increased among registered voters since election day 2016. Millions who didn't like him before, now say they do.

That's a big problem for Democrats, who are having a hard time gaining any enthusiasm or widening their appeal among Americans who love their country and want to defend the Constitution, promote Free Enterprise and nurture Individual Liberty.

The other major problem that Democrats have started way back when Hillary labeled Trump supporters "deplorables" and "irredeemable". Trump supporters now embrace that characterization and wear it as a badge of honor. Democrats didn't learn from that and are now taking it a step further. Democrats calling Trump supporters "racist" for supporting Trump are actually calling some Democrats "racist" who voted for Trump and support him today. Democrats will never get those voters back to vote for Democrats if they keep targeting voters with phony racism claims and other derogatory remarks.

You can't out-Trump TRUMP.

If Democrats could ever put forth a plan to improve the US economy, put American citizens before ILLEGAL ALIENS and create policies and programs that would benefit ALL Americans without penalizing another American, they might have a shot; but it's just about too late to do any of that. All of the toothpaste is out of the tube already. They cant put it back for the general election.

My thoughts too. And then Trump also subsidizes farmers. Not to mention the huge government deficit. Future taxpayers are being "robbed" by the current generation for no good reason. Socialism on stilts. I cringe at Lonestar being considered a representative of conservatism.

Do your research. The poll I viewed was conducted between July 29 and August 4.

Good luck."

You reported "In a recent poll in Pennsylvania conducted by Franklin & Marshall College, it was learned that 51% of voters polled favored Trump for a second term." from LS"

Did my research AND
You need to get new glasses , change your meds or just quit putting your emotions ahead of the facts READ the last sentence
What you reported was and is and will always be WRONG How many times is this now that you have reported wrong wrong wrong

Read the Latest F&M Poll Results
July 29 - August 4, 2019 Franklin & Marshall College Poll

The August 2019 Franklin & Marshall College Poll finds that Pennsylvania voters are generally satisfied with the direction of the state and their personal finances. Half (51%) of the state’s registered voters believe the state is “headed in the right direction.” Most voters report they are “better off” (29%) or the “same” (55%) financially compared to last year and most expect to be “better off” (28%) or the “same” (58%) financially next year. Pennsylvanians show considerable unanimity on a number of policy topics:

Most (61%) registered voters in Pennsylvania believe that the state’s tax system needs a fundamental overhaul and three in five (60%) believes that property taxes should be replaced by broader, state-wide taxes.
Fewer than one in four (23%) registered voters supports using the state’s motor license fund to pay for state police operations and most (61%) believe that the communities that rely on state police coverage should reimburse the state for those services.
Contrasting with their feelings about the state, only one in three (34%) registered voters believes that the United States is “headed in the right direction.” About one in three (37%) registered voters in Pennsylvania believes President Trump is doing an “excellent” or “good” job as president, which is consistent with recent Franklin & Marshall College Polls. President Trump’s current rating is similar to President Obama’s rating in Pennsylvania at the same point in his Presidency. Two in five (38%) registered voters believes President Trump has done a good enough job to deserve reelection, while three in five (61%) voters say it is time for a change.

Democrats honestly believe that Obama was a great president. That tells me that they are misguided or even possibly stupid. Maybe stupid is more accurate because of the latest crop of haters that they elected. It makes no sense to dwell on the facts because libtards will argue that it is night time even when the sun is brightly shining. They justify that argument because in China it is night time. They are actually pretty good at twisting the facts to fit their beliefs.

Democrats really should come up with a platform that would help the country. The current hate platform is no going to win many elections.

. . .
And yet, Ozombies cannot point to one single policy or program of Obama's that was of benefit to ALL Americans and was supported by the majority of WORKING Americans that did not also punish/penalize another American.

Hell, Black Americans can't even tell you of anything Obama did for them, and most refuse to admit publicly that he let them down. However, there are some courageous souls out there who battle against racial peer pressure and don't allow skin pigment to block their view of reality. They call out Obama for the do-nothing, lead-from-behind POTUS that he was. Ironically, that damn racist Trump has done more for Black Americans in 30 months that Obama did in 96 months.

During Obamas Persidency he and Americans were able to
1)On May 1, 2011, Navy SEALs attacked the al-Qaida leader's compound in Pakistan and eliminated Osama bin Laden.

2) Afghanistan troop commitment from 30,000 (2009) to 8,400 (end of 2016)

3) President Obama’s JumpStart Our Business Start-up (JOBS) Act resulted in a major shift in securities laws that meant the emancipation of capital for minority and women-owned businesses, who traditionally have struggled with gaining access to capital through traditional means. More minorities and lower net worth individuals were able to get in on investments that can drive more wealth generation to their communities. Thanks to Titles II, III, and IV, a startup can publicly raise capital, participate in equity-based crowdfunding, and use online tools to find investors as well as raise up to $50 million from both non-accredited investors and accredited investors (those making at least $200,000 a year or having a million-dollar net-worth).

4) Helping Americans Keep Their Homes: African American families were particularly hard-hit by the housing crisis and were the victims of predatory lending. The president took action to help homeowners, including expanding access to refinancing—allowing responsible borrowers to save an average of $3,000 per year. The administration also took measures to allow homeowners behind on their payments to modify their mortgages to avoid foreclosure—with more than 1.5 million borrowers having received permanent modifications through the Home Affordable Modification Program (HAMP), the Administration’s cornerstone foreclosure prevention program, and millions more receiving private modifications that were modeled off of HAMP.

But to name a few

But to name a few
1/ Not a bad return for the billions of dollars spent on the armed forces since 9/11.
2/ Who actually won. Afganistan is still the outhouse it was when the Russians left. Too many lives wasted for what?
3/Totally lost me there but it seems as if the ethnic minorities and girly owners can borrow more from the people who benefit most from lending money.
4/ Your item there is racist and distastful, the crash affected everyone from redneck through to head bowing Muslim. Obama introduced that policy for all. He knew the USA could not be shown as a Country full of dossers (street livers) If he was such a brilliant POTUS why was this not nipped in the bud before it became a huge crisis.

1. President Obama removed all U.S. troops from Iraq due to not getting an acceptable SOFA with the Iraqi government.
2. President Obama put U.S. forces back into Iraq to fight ISIS (over 8,000) with no SOFA from the Iraqi government, only an MOU from the Iraqi MFA.
3. Championed the Affordable Care Act that eventually was nicknamed ObamaCare, spending nearly 1.7 billion dollars on its website that didn't work properly for over a year.
4. Signed the "kill order" for Anwar Al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen working for Al Qaeda.. No arrest, no trial, no conviction, a targeted killing..
5. President Obama avoided the War Powers Act in conducting war against Libya. NO consultation with Congress because in his administration's eyes, since there were no "boots on the ground" (guess they don't count SF) it wasn't enough to invoke the War Powers Act.
6. In conjunction with Congress increased the U.S. national debt over 10 trillion during his 8 years in office.

plenty of cockups that met the "scandal" criteria but in his eyes nothing was a scandal. Not Fast and Furious, not Lois Lerner and the IRS shennanigans, not HIllary's private server (that he e-mailed a number of times), not his AG Holder being held in contempt of Congress...

Guess either side of the Trump/Obama divide can dig up numerous issues...
