I will take the bait Anefarious1. The Republican Party with Donald Trump at the helm, will post the election, already start positioning Nikki Haley for leadership heading into 2024 delivering to the USA what the Democrats couldn't do in 2016.

I know a direct answer is unlikely but I think most here would be curious to know if Glalt and Dragonz would approve of Trump being in office more than 8 years or perhaps indefinitely? Also, what if he shut down all media outlets and only allowed Trump-approved news to be reported? Thoughts? I am sincerely asking and not trying to be an irrational hater.
First i am not a snowflake , and only a leftie would ask those questions . WE normal thinking people obey the rules . 8 yrs is what it is .I have never ever thought that anyone would get more than 8 years . Shut the papers down , why would he do that ? I would hold them more accountable for what they say esp calling people obscene names ie nazi ,racist , rapist reporting false news etc and that would go for both sides and change the rules on anonymous source reporting .
I think the dishonest press do trump a favour , keeping him in the news , turning people to him with their blatant biased reporting .Come on don lemon the worst obnoxious reporter ever but its his way to do things . No i would not or he would not do any of those things . If kamala harris wins the election she may do some of those things but not the republicans

You don't want a direct answer. Hopefully Trump will be elected for a second term and suitable candidates are already there and waiting for the next election. The democrats have already issued scare tactics and they are scary. Anyone who votes for the far left socialist party, and if Biden is elected, I fear for the country. I'm too old to much care and my grandchildren will have to live with the consequences of changing the country and abolishing the constitution that has served us so well.

Freedom of speech is now banned in usa by the left unless its words like nazi, bigot, racist, misogynist, white supremacist. they are ok.
A terribly unfortunate result of what's going on in the U.S. right now. The Thought Police. Conversations which need to be had, cannot because someone might be offended. Facts no longer matter.

Not a leftie. I just listen to Trump's own views about a 3rd term in office. He has spoken about it several times. Fake news?

There's also his very public admiration for dictators so it seems like a valid topic of discussion. He and Kim did "fall in love" not long ago and regarding Xi of China he said, “He’s now president for life. President for life. No, he’s great. And look, he was able to do that. I think it’s great. Maybe we’ll have to give that a shot someday.” And he bragged that he "saved his ass" in regards to MBS after Trump's own CIA concluded that the Saudi individual ordered Khashoggi killed and chopped up into pieces.

How anyone could think Trump is a man of integrity or has any moral compass whatsoever is beyond belief! I'm so glad there is a complete record of all his Tweets for the history books. And how many of his own people including those he personally hired as well as his own family members have to come out and tell you what a scumbag he is.

That is self-evident when the leader of the country has been clocked at 20,000+ blatant lies, half-truths and bits of misinformation over a period of 4 years.

As you guys know, the United States recently surpassed a sad milestone: 200,000 COVID-19 related deaths.

I think now it is appropriate to revisit the time Trump spoke, a few months back, about the potential for "hundreds of thousands of deaths" in regards to the sobering death model projections. During the coronavirus task force briefing Trump, in the same sentence, bragged about his involvement with female models stating, "I was never involved in a model. At least this kind of a model."

Here is the 34 second Youtube clip of this highly entertaining albeit sad reality TV episode:

Bonus clip: Here is a 30 second YT clip of him bragging about being "Number 1 on Facebook" during an April coronavirus task force press briefing:

We definitely need to teach our kids to be more like Trump!

“He feels good about the mask, and that’s OK. Whatever makes you feel good,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Pittsburgh. “Honestly, why the hell did he spend all that money on the plastic surgery if he’s going to cover it up with a mask?”

That is Trump today mocking Joe Biden's appearance and use of a face mask. Reminder that Trump's buddy Herman Cain died from COVID-19 and he likely caught the virus at a Trump rally. Trump is doing his part to spread the virus.

In other news, Trump recently told his supporters that it was a “beautiful sight” when police targeted an unidentified reporter and “threw him aside like he was a bag of popcorn.”

“Sometimes they grab. They grab one guy. ‘I’m a reporter. I’m a reporter.’ Get out of here. They threw him aside like he was a little bag of popcorn. Honestly, when you watch the crap that we have all had to take so long. When you see it, it is actually a beautiful sight.”

Good to see Trump leading by deescalating the violence :-k

Not surprising though considering that Trump encouraged violence against protestors by saying, "knock the crap out of them" and promising that he'd "pay the legal fees."

All fake news folks!

Trump's response to the COVID-19 related deaths, "it is what it is". That's the POTUS ladies and gentlemen.

And just for kicks. First the POTUS says several months ago that 100,000 to 200,000 deaths would be considered a success. Now that we've reached 200,000 deaths, anything under 2.5 million deaths will be considered a success. If anything the POTUS is flexible.

will assume this is in support of US / Trump's virus response, guess you have to grasp at straws (more like a needle in a large haystack of sxxt).

yes, the US death rate is higher than the UK.....link shows the data.
https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/data/mortality
* just my guess (ok, I checked) UK overall population is older that the US, so would assume as this virus prays mostly on the elderly...............the difference is easily explained.
** pls note cases vs population. US has 5-6 time the population (331 million vs 66.6 million), but more than 10x the number of confirmed cases.

Disclaimer: If i assumed wrong, and this wasn't in support of the US's virus response and just an off the wall attack on UK's virus response (a sxxt show in itself)...........9((*^%*&^%**.....sorry, lost my train of thought........what was the original posters point??

I don't know about the denial angle but it isn't being shouted from the rooftops. "Competent" isn't a word that comes to mind when contemplating either the current US or UK governments.

If you look at deaths per capita or deaths relative to total population, indeed the US recently surpassed the UK. However, this is probably just more fake news to the kool aid drinkers lurking here because during a recent Axios interview Trump said, "you can't do that" referring to this exact metric. Folks please do not drink bleach or any type of disinfectant!

So for those adoring Trumplets on here - are you OK with him refusing to commit to a peaceful handover of the White House if he loses the upcoming election?
President Donald Trump has declined to commit to a peaceful transfer of power if he loses the November 3 presidential election.

Mr Trump has for months criticised mail-in voting this November by tweeting and speaking out critically about the practice.

"We're going to have to see what happens," Mr Trump said at a news conference, responding to a question about whether he would commit to a peaceful transfer of power.
