U.S. Politics
Re: U.S. Politics
four anonymous sources confirmed Trump's crazy talk from back in 2018. For publication in the Atlantic story a mere 60 days before the election. If these four sources were so incensed with Trump's crap why didn't they spill the beans two years ago?? I'd say the Atlantic story is a combination of fact and fiction.. Doesn't matter though it stirred up the partisans with some people frothing at the mouth and others calling it all BS..

Re: U.S. Politics
He's made enough derogatory comments concerning veterans and military personnel in his tweets and at his pep rallies to make that story more than credible.

Maybe a bit of "give a man enough rope"? Also, he wasn't up for reelection in 2018.FrazeeDK wrote: ↑September 5, 2020, 7:17 pmfour anonymous sources confirmed Trump's crazy talk from back in 2018. More a case of "keep your powder dry" I suspect.
I reckon there is going to be an avalanche of these revelations about the Bloated Orange Bullshiiter between now and November.
I doubt it will move the deplorables, but may (hopefully) have an impact on the independents and undecided.

I will say this, if his threat of eliminating the payroll tax doesn't lose him votes, even the election, nothing will.jackspratt wrote: ↑September 5, 2020, 7:49 pmMore a case of "keep your powder dry" I suspect.

Democrats give Uncle Joe a free pass regarding his corruption. Unfortunately for Joe, facts are coming out. Take a look at this documentary;jackspratt wrote: ↑September 5, 2020, 7:49 pmMore a case of "keep your powder dry" I suspect.

10 minutes viewing was enough for me.glalt wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 12:04 pmDemocrats give Uncle Joe a free pass regarding his corruption. Unfortunately for Joe, facts are coming out. Take a look at this documentary;
https://get.blazetv.com/riding-the-dragon/
- produced by a strongly conservative media group
- hosted (and I think narrated) by a far right-wing commentator from Breitbart
- persistent use of 10+ year old footage of Joe Biden's then views about China
- disingenuously talking about Hunter Biden's directorship of AMTRAK, without stating he was appointed by little Bush, and resigned when his father became VP in 2009.
You can see where this is going.
Re: U.S. Politics
I can understand why you wouldn't want to watch the entire thing. There are many different companies implicated and not all in China. Too much smoke without a fire. A tangled web for sure.jackspratt wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 12:51 pm10 minutes viewing was enough for me.glalt wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 12:04 pmDemocrats give Uncle Joe a free pass regarding his corruption. ^ No. It's more about the credibility of blazetv or lack thereof. You need to broaden your search for answers on the internet and not click on sponsored or embedded links in the usual conservative sites.

Why hasn't Trump's Justice department pursed all this Biden wrong doing? The former reality TV star seems so powerless. Maybe he is too preoccupied with stirring up sh*t and creating division?jackspratt wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 12:51 pm10 minutes viewing was enough for me.glalt wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 12:04 pmDemocrats give Uncle Joe a free pass regarding his corruption. In any case, if Trump could take time off from retweeting sycophantic Tweets and instead visit Udonmap... surely he would declare Glalt to be "highly respected" not like all these "losers" Trump has labeled over the years (including war dead).
I would love to know what Trump could possibly do, who he could denigrate, in order to lose the support of folks like Glalt. The world is witnessing a true cult of personality and his minions. What a sorry state of affairs!

Re: U.S. Politics
I have posted in the past that I don't like Trump's personality. Looking at his opposition, he is the lesser of the two evils. There is no alternative. I kind of like Joe but it is obvious he is now being controlled by the far left socialists. That should scare logical people. I also believe that old Joe doesn't believe that he has done anything wrong.anefarious1 wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 1:37 pmWhy hasn't Trump's Justice department pursed all this Biden wrong doing? Every and I mean Every Politician has dirt on them if one digs long and hard enough. Kamala had a relative that had Slaves, Trump has robbed people blind, belittled women, Pence, Pressed on scandal, Pence struggles with straightforward question, Kennedy, women problems, Nixon, Watergate what is that , Reagan, the HUD scandal, Supporting Apartheid, selling arms to Iran, The election in every supposedly Democratic country is which candidate presents the lesser of the 2 evils. It never who do I like the most its who do I hate the least to vote for.
So good luck to the candidates and may the Worst One win

Good post. Trump really didn't win the election. Hillary lost it because no one trusted her. He was the lesser evil. I have been guilty of calling him a buffoon and am pleasantly surprised that he has kept more promises than his predecessors.Doodoo wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 2:52 pmGlat

Vote for evil ? WTF , some seriously strange stuff going on. People have just lost their minds. Given the choice some people would make a choice between Hitler and pol pot ,' yeh they're both evil but I gotta vote for one of them' said Billybob. Brainwashed smucks . 'my vote counts' no it don't .the electoral collage vote counts. Hillary got 3,000,000 more votes and they were just thrown in the bin, they didn't countDoodoo wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 2:52 pmGlat

Re: U.S. Politics
An introduction to the U.S. electoral system might enlighten you on the subject. The winner of the election in the United States is not determined by the candidate who wins the most votes. You can look it up.
You only pass through this life once, you don't come back for an encore.

I'm pretty sure everyone is aware of the electoral college. I don't think anyone on here has said anything differentLaan Yaa Mo wrote: ↑September 7, 2020, 1:34 amAn introduction to the U.S. electoral system might enlighten you on the subject. Galt, good idea to fact check stuff before posting.

49% of Trump's promises were broken, I actually figured % would of been higher.

I think what's more important is not so much promises kept and promises broken, but which promises we are talking about.Mosquito wrote: ↑September 7, 2020, 7:22 amglalt wrote: ↑September 6, 2020, 3:31 pmGood post. 1. Not touch Social Security: probably the biggest lie that will have the most long-term damage. By deferring now and then attempting to eliminate the payroll tax if re-elected, that would essentially kill Social Security.
2. Repeal Obamacare with new healthcare plan: nothing
3. Infrastructure: nothing
4. Cut taxes for the middle class and reduce the deficit: it didn't happen under Reagan, it had no chance of happening now. Trickle down economics don't work. The middle class got the short end of the stick on this.
