I have a 6 foot x 2 foot Chinese rug (Carpet) that needs cleaning. Anyone know of, or used a shop in Udon who does this ?
Alternatively, does anyone recommend any of the wet/dry vacuum cleaners on sale here which might do the job?
Back home I used to have a "VAX' carpet cleaner and it was fantastic. Never seen 'Vax' here in Thailand.
Carpet/Rug cleaners?
Re: Carpet/Rug cleaners?
what i would do is put the carpet outside , use a carpet foam or other cleaning soap, leave it soak , and spray all of with the high pressure hose (or garden hose ) at lower power , and leave it dry in the sun , i have done this with a mattress before and was very clean...

That's a good catch. It'd be nice to know if anyone has used their services. Looks pretty professional.FrazeeDK wrote: ↑January 10, 2020, 2:16 pmsite in Thai but a right click on Chrome for translate shows carpet cleaning listed. https://buildth.com/2018/08/07/%E0%B8%9 ... %E0%B8%A3/
Re: Carpet/Rug cleaners?
i wonder what it would cost to clean a carpet 2 by 6 foot ? , even buying a carpet cleaner is not worth it , and what does a carpet cleaning machine do? inject water with cleaning substance and vacuum it back out , after this the carpet also have to dry , this could easily be improvised as i told before ..you should try it
Re: Carpet/Rug cleaners?
Thanks for the replies.
If nothing better turns up, I will try the DIY suggestion.
As its quite an expensive rug and thick pile, I will try on a cheaper rug first see how it goes.
Thanks again.

If you decide to DIY, now is the time to do it. Lowest humidity and lots of sun.

Re: Carpet/Rug cleaners?
I purchased an aerosol spray can of carpet cleaner from Tesco and a small bristle brush from the 20 baht store. The dirt on my large area rug is only surface deep and doesn't require any sort of wet solution vacuuming, and chances are your rug is not that dirty either if it's indoors and shoes are not worn in the home. All is takes is a little elbow grease and 30 minutes of time and it looks like new.
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.
