Mosquito screen fabricator or repair man.

Post by tamada » May 24, 2018, 10:31 am

Another long overdue repair job at the mansion. I have several door and window mossie screens on the aluminum frames that need replacing. I know the netting, rubber gasket and roller gizmo can be had in HomePro and others but I fancy on letting a local artisan have a go as it would probably be a morning's work and I can bash on with my novel.

Push comes to shove, I can tote the screens to his shop or house and let him have at it.

Anyone know of such a shop or worker?

Just had a new sliding door with the screens made 2 weeks ago.
The size is 2 x1.2 mtre.
Took the old one in & they made a brand new one.
Price was 1,400 baht.
Made an excellent job of it & got it back next morning.

The shop is next to the entrance to Udon Perfect Mansion on Adulyadej Road.
They have a shop & a workshop near each other.
Just park up near the entrance & you will see the shop.
I think the shop also sell mirrors.

There's a place opposite NB hotel, a few doors down from Makro Who does aluminium profiles and fly mesh etc.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

A large place almost directly across from the Napalai Hotel.......up the road just a bit toward the ring road.

3 hits already... thanks chaps!

I had a decko in Thai Watsadu and saw they have rolls of the regular 'plastic' composite mossie screen material in black and grey. They also have the aluminium (or some metal) version. I would assume the latter is harder wearing and ideal for my sliding screen doors that have the composite stuff and take a hammering from kids and pets. That stuff looks like it is harder to handle so I may take the door frames down and get them done at one of the shops recommended. I can probably do the smaller window ones myself with the composite stuff as I have writers block right now.

The shop I mentioned does do repairs & replace screens.
They told me to take the old door to them.
My retriever dog had tried to run through it so the frame was twisted & 2 of the rollers broken.
They could not repair it so they made the new one.

Ended up buying the wheelie thing and doing the lot myself. Took about 10 minutes for each of the patio doors and even less for the smaller window screens.

...and NO work permit!!!
