You got UR ext to stay w Income Letter for 2019

Post by RLTrader » May 1, 2019, 3:06 pm

So, you got Your ext to stay with Income Letter for 2019.
What's your plan for 2020 after your Embassy stopped the service?

Plan in flux.
Come the end of year
• will print out Income Come Letter
• make appointment for Notary Service at US Embassy
• go to US Embassy
• submit my Income Come Letter to be notarized
• return to renew ext to stay

What could possibly go wrong?

What's your Plan?

A point of view from an Australian:-

I could do the same and when rejected could ask them on what legal grounds are they refusing to notarize my Statutory Declaration. It's none of their business what the declaration contains, their only obligation is to witness my signature for which they are paid (a standard world wide fee at any Australian Embassy or Consulate). AND I'm legally obliged to make sure the declaration is a true and correct statement.

Interesting times ahead!

EDIT: Oh, in answer to the question I'm bringing in 65K a month and in "suck it and see mode" NO WAY am I bringing in 800K just to have it extorted from me through the new 2 month pre - 3 month post and leave 400K there for the remainder of the year! UTTER BS

EDIT again: Or I could have my Declaration notarized at our Embassy in Vientiane. That'll f#@k em!

"What could possibly go wrong?"

You could sit inside your closed-up car, BBQ some sausages. What could possibly go wrong? or, You could go to Villa at 1:30PM and demand that the clerk sell you the bottle of Glenlivet 50 in your hand. What could possibly go wrong? Heck, for that matter, you could just not go to Immigration when your extension is due. What could possibly go wrong?

Bung 800k in a Thai bank. The 200 baht bank letter is 1/10th the price of the Embassy's income affidavit, and a lot easier to get.

Maybe Global moderators should do exactly that moderate, and keep their nasty comments to them self.

Update:
Very convenient that nasty Global moderators can't be blocked. Say's a lot about the site, I would say!

I have asked this question previously, and answer was "no can do".

Can't remember whether it was from Immo in UT, or the embassy in Vientiane.

I am happy to stay with either 800k in the bank, or do a new O-A every 2nd year in Oz.

I remember reading somewhere (maybe here) that Thai Immigration has said that it needed to be done in a Thailand Embassy, when this subject came up years ago.
So Vientiane Embassy was not an option even though closer.
