The daughter in law is saying that its in local Thai media that an Udon-Loei bus was involved in a collision with a pick up near Nong Bua Lamphu earlier today.
Apparently,about 20 dead and over 40 injured.
Anyone else heard anything ??

The accident occurred at 4pm on 4 Dec near BanBongKaa in Nongbualamphu. The article cites 3 deaths. Lots of others injured.

In that last picture, looks as though the bus seats weren't particularly well anchored down.

not that it means anything, you can do everything right and some stupid fffff (lots of them on the roads) can ruin your day.
side note: was driving home last night around 9:30 and police had a road block / dui check across the main ring road after Nong Sanrong intersection.
