So there's absolutely no hope for Desiree then? What a waste of an elite degree, eh?

Khun Paul,

Thank you for your latest post. I think what you said this time could be as close as we will ever get to knowing the truth. I have taught for years in Thailand at all levels and much of what you say I have heard before.

Does anyone have firsthand experience with the cost of a full year, all-in?

I'm not familiar with the details of each program, but Don Bosco offers a wide variety of programs for their junior/high school students. As rct says above, cost for the IP program runs about 90,000 per year. The DB Smart program runs about 48,000 per year. There are other programs in that grade range that cost less, but I'm not familiar with any families who have students in those classes. As for the student we sponsor in the DB Smart program, we're happy with her progress and she's very happy she choose Don Bosco. Some of her Udon Pattanyapanya friends are unhappy they choose Udonpitt over DB.....for what that's worth.
Kids in the DB Smart program returned to class this week.

Certainly not on this board you haven't ? Almost
always soft-spoken and respectful. Never trotting
out their educational credentials. No need to . :-k
By and large they really seem to try to conduct
themselves well. Where are these horrible yanks?

A degree means you can not only read but also retain information pertinent to the subject you took a degree in. That's it
We all know many who have gone through the educational system and gained MANY education al certificates, degrees, masters even one or two Phds, but that in itself does not mean they are capable on other ways like speaking, using common-sense, or even solving problems.
I once knew and ex-cadet of mine who although gained MANY prestigious educational qualifications had difficulty getting a job, because his prospective employers wwre afraid of her, TOO qualified /
A good all round education is the best with a large does of common-sense encouraged, which here is sadly lacking generally as is logic.

You would really need to share your backstory. Then maybe we could understand the origins of

Yes , I sometimes forget rules . Yanks are required

I have experience of working with some very clever Americans in defence and aerospace. Highly qualified US helicopter test pilots, an engineer from Stanford who taught me pitot statics and another who was a subject matter expert on digital autopilot. I was reading earlier on how the US intelligence agencies are assisting Ukraine in frustrating Russia's efforts to wipe that country off the map (genocide?). Hardly the actions of 'swamp people'.
