Had a few at the new Grass beer garden attached to the Bar, cool looking and cool inside, a cosy place for a chin wag and sport watching.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LryFkUOnYc8[/youtube]

looking at the draw you have posted, I would say that the AFL womens draw would pull more crowds than the combined rugby games, except The Frogs and The Wogs.

Liam, yes the F1 in Melbourne 26 March live. Waz, do you have trouble sleeping, you must be having nightmares that NRL and Rugby have taken over as the premier sports in Oz. Oz Boy, the grass and bamboo shack is nearly completed along with beach sand.

Thanks Jas. We will be televising many other fun filled sports from Oz. Eg, World chess championships, Baseball, Bells Beach surfing comp, Basketball, Hockey, Badminton, Shuttlecock, Sand castle building........ Sydney to Perth walking marathon ( a very exciting comp, eyes glued to the tele for 17 days, riveting stuff), live horse racing from Birdsville, Sea kayak marathon...Hobart to Hobart around Oz anti clockwise (28 days of excitment, dodging sharks, crocs, whales, Gummy shark trawlers).

Other MINOR sports could be Soccer, mens and womens netball, javelin throwing, afl.

Gotta feed the boys who love their AFL. The competition proper should start soon into the future . ??????
NRL certainly had the jump again, don't know why they play a non event pre season practice comp. it's treated as the real thing down Mexico way..
Can't wait for first bounce for the Blues though.

Mick Gatto working for the Bombers. Could get a game with Blues this yr I.imagine

Noticed on Sports post above that the Melbourne Storm played a game yesterday. Can someone please let me know how they went? Nothing in the papers or on the radio or TV in Melbourne. Your right Barn there is plenty of sheilas footy (even they pulled 25000 people) and seniors practise matches, the Moomba birdman rally, water skiing and even some soccer on SBS. But no bum sniffers of the workers or the elites variety. So a Storm score would be appreciated (Oh and how did Izzy Folou and Greg Inglis go for the Storm? :D )

Well Rob,

The bait barely hit the water ;) ......used to be like when I fished years ago with a 2 hook rig for flathead in a tinnie outside the break water at north haven, northern NSW, beautiful part of Australia that place, always got 2 flathead with a hand line cast.

But I digress, I would like the Jingjoes TV schedule published for the AFL ASAP. The cult followers are getting restless mate. :D

Melbourne Storm gave my NRL bulldogs a touch up last Thursday in atrocious Melbourne like weather. They got the rub of the green as far as weather went.
Greg Ingliss will be out for a while, he is playing for the rabbito's these days, bung leg now, ligament damage. :-"
Izzy still pretending to play footy for the Wallabies. :-"

Good choice Mr Lew.

I've followed them since they were defeated in the 1967 GF by souths. I was a yong chap then and my first GF to watch, liked their Jersey. Both my teams have pulled up lame in the past few years.

I'm a Carlton Blues supporter because many many moons ago I worked at the Portland Aluminium Smelter in 1985. I was bestowed the Blues team by the Vic lads only because my NRL Bulldogs were blue. Go figure. We won a few flags all that way back. The Fitzroy and Footscray days. =D>

Only 66,000 odd for the wobbles home game last night. A bit disappointing but expecting a bit better tonight with about 85,000 at the G for Bombers v Hawks........free kick Hawthorn. Just a normal weekend in Australia's number one sporting competition in Australia's only real sporting city.
Oh and there is some car race on too but hardly any is taking any notice. Fancy organising a car race at the start of the footy season - no idea.

Receipe for disaster or just a bad Formula.

Those attendances look good. Confirms why NRL has to start earlier to compete. 5555
