Following on from a recent thread in the 'General' section, It would be interesting to know how people feel about humourous postings. Do they spoil the forum, or do they lighten up your day?

I believe a little humour is just fine. Would it be okay for us yanks to inject a little humor as well? It's one of our favorite things as long as it is not off-colored.

Doubtful that you will ever see any humour from a yank. Most of us are only capable of humor. Some have tried, we we just keep forgetting to stick in the 'u'.

on that, i will be having my own funeral...hate to miss a good party. i personally don't understand them, and usually will not attend. so, if i don't show up at yours, don't be offended.

never made sense to have a party, after the guest of honor is dead. more fun to do when alive, and you can 'roast' them. maybe next year, good reason for pig roast

I won't be offended if you don't turn up LA, but you are of course most cordially invited when the day comes. I think the family will walk/skip/run down the street, stopping anyone in sight and extracting "beer money" from them. After the "reading" (The dogs they had a meeting, they came from near and far etc;etc;)
it will be back off to the house for more beer and a general think tank, on how to get any money left in the UK out to Thailand.

all i know is life is way to short to be walking around everyday with a face like a slapped a~se . laughter is good for your well being . if i wanted to be miserable i would of stayed in england . i really cant understand people that want to change everything. if it aint broke , dont fix it. how hard is that to get your head around ? the two funniest things ive read on here was, 38 and the hornet on his nose , and sabai with his bio clinic experience, now maybe im sick, maybe i just have a warped sense or humour, but i was crying with laughter when i read those, absolute classics!!!!!! anyway the point is laughter makes you feel good and at peace with your universe , so long may it continue.

A fine poll you have there stattointhighland.
So a land slide victory(at time of posting).........a bit of humour works well and is acceptable to all that took part in the vote.Humour(or what some of us class as Humour lol) in the right place AND the right time, not always possible to keep too, but i am sure it will be pointed out if and when.
