Joy Division and New Order (things went a bit pear shaped by the time they released Republic but that wasn't on Factory, I believe), Smiths, Echo and the Bunnymen (Angels and Devils an outstanding song).

The Curtis film (Control?) is on my to do list.

Closer is an outstanding album.

Farang playing Madness above us - saw Madness at Guilfest a couple of years ago, well worth it.

U2 of course.....

There’s nothing like a dame – in this case it's not the song from South Pacific but Dame Vera Lynn who, at the age of 92, is believed to be the oldest living artist to enter the top 20 of the UK album charts.

She entered the album charts in the UK last week with her album “We'll Meet Again - The Very Best of Vera Lynn”.

An example of real British girl power:

Ashamed to be English since 23rd June 2016 when England voted for racism & economic suicide.

Disgusted that the UK is “governed” by a squalid bunch of economically illiterate, self-serving, sleazy and corrupt neo-fascists.

Control should be on your list for things to do today Fawn, I thought it was a great movie.
Joy Division, New Order, The Bunnymen, Souxie and The Cure all top bands but nothing can top the majesty that is Morrissey/Marr. Saw them play on several occasions, one of the best being at Essex Unni before they had become well known. Me and about 150 Psycho Billies

I have slowly come to the conclusion, looking at the totality of all his posts, that our Mr Staker is a wind-up merchant.

Jesus take the wheel? Gosh Nosferatu, that's a happy little song. Joy Division can also be sad but at least I can dance to it (well, most of 'em).

Let's have some Buzzcocks, pop pickers....

Fun Boy Three in 1983 - Our Lips Are Sealed. A total about face from the days of the Specials but still making cracking tunes...rather like Paul Wella leaving the Jam and forming The Style Council....no, The Style Council were cr@p.
