Black, brown and migrant bodies are in as much danger in Europe as they are in America. https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2022 ... as-america

Yep and in the same breath different nationalities also experience racism as they travel through, years ago in France while driving through I experienced overt racism when asking for a Hotel room, had to drive to another town to get a room. The previous hotel hated the English ..

You should have used a Scottish accent. The French adore the Scottish race.Khun Paul wrote: ↑August 12, 2022, 6:46 amYep and in the same breath different nationalities also experience racism as they travel through, years ago in France while driving through I experienced overt racism when asking for a Hotel room, had to drive to another town to get a room. You only pass through this life once, you don't come back for an encore.
Re: Racism in Europe
The Scottish are prolific racists. There's Clark, Stewart, McCrae, Franchitti, Cowan, Coulthard, di Resta.

Re: Racism in Europe
Race Card is the new norm of society nowadays. If all these black, brown migrants don’t feel comfortable near Caucasians, why they love to settle in their countries? The quality of life in the USA and EU has been going down the drain because of these newcomers, who have no respect or regard for the laws and regulations of the new host country, instead they fail to assimilate and import with them the nasty habits inherited in their 3rd world s-hole countries! Globalization was the worst thing to happen in the world. Migration must be controlled based on qualifications , criminal records, and must be based on merit.tamada wrote: ↑August 12, 2022, 3:41 amBlack, brown and migrant bodies are in as much danger in Europe as they are in America. https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2022 ... as-america

Re: Racism in Europe
Have you heard the saying that history often repeats itself, tony?
The sorts of things that you complain about now didn't seem to worry us white folk when we started globalising the black, brown and yellow world 3 or 400 years ago. Rape, pillage, economic exploitation and Christianity were all the rage then.
EDIT: I forgot slavery.
And Spain was right up there, leading the colonising pack.

Re: Racism in Europe
Total nonsense.
Re: Racism in Europe
No, he's right. There's Moss, Hailwood, Surtees, Hill Snr and Jr, Mansell, Hunt, Button and now Hamilton. Arguably the best racists of their generation.

I read this somewhere, not sure where, but “You don't have to be afraid of everything you don't understand."tony525 wrote: ↑August 12, 2022, 8:49 pmRace Card is the new norm of society nowadays. reading through the article author's previous articles it seems he has a large chip on his shoulder...

Re: Racism in Europe
The southern European nations certainly bear the brunt of the people trafficking from Africa so with the possible exception of those living near the south coast of England, the rest of Europe shouldn't have this fear of being overwhelmed by violent, non-assimilating heathens. This notion of being culturally subjugated by hordes of irreligious foreigners is irrational and couched in the very same fear and ignorance they suggest these unwelcome visitors possess. Beating anyone to death for commenting on another guy's girlfriend's beauty or touching her arm isn't right anywhere with any ethnicity.
As a white(er) bloke, I wouldn't feel qualified to speculate on any dark(er) bloke's chip let alone the size of it.

Re: Racism in Europe
go to the article and click on the author's link. Read any number of his older articles. It appears he seems everything through the prism of racism.. I'd prefer to view things as having progressed a long way from my teenage times in the late 60's/early 70's..

Re: Racism in Europe
I read four of his linked, Al-Jazeera opinion pieces. The South African born author is variously critical of the innate corruption of certain Pan-African organisations and several African state administrations and government ministers, the duplicity and deceit of the recent Russian diplomatic African road show, how Mugabe's government isolated and shattered any sense of the worth of cultural diversity through language in Zimbabwe and how the entreaties of visiting European royalty to their former colonies are largely an effort to make their state visits more comfortable for themselves.FrazeeDK wrote: ↑August 13, 2022, 10:19 amgo to the article and click on the author's link. Have I missed a "prism" here?
