I'm about done here with being harangued about Google. I'm going back to Doodoo's far less pretentious, more worldly and less esoteric"Yes it really happened" thread where nobody really gives a toss (unless it's the clever clogs' who suggest that those copying and pasting unedited and unattributed stuff should have been tried at Nuremberg).

Why bother, If it was something that would have enhanced my life over the last 70 yrs I'm sure I'd have acquired the knowledge earlier. I've managed to survive until now without knowing so I'm sure I'll get through the last few months/years in blissfull ignorance without the help of google filling my limited brainspace with useless information I have no need for

#killgoogle
Just an update, statts - although I recognize it may be too late.

Brain space can never be limited, and information is never useless. In fact, it can be most enlightening. 👍

Yes, of course, and well done you for giving my quiz questions a go. It's not for everyone and some people's abilities are best suited to searching Google for the answers.

I remember a movie about the young kid who caddied for the rich guys and also worked in the local clothes shop. Good movie. But alas forget his name.
..thats assuming its the correct guy as I always thought St Andrews was the oldest links golf course

Here's a hint: This guy played a course in Carnoustie at the Barrie links in the 16th century.

I would think you would recognise the name, and yes, it was in Scotland.

Does one stay with the body and the other remain with the unit NCO or CO?

Oh, it has to be Robert Maule.

That's a quiz question for a Scotsman, though.

What was the name of the sheila who got her gear off and streaked across the MCG in front of 108,000 people (including a 14 year old Marjamlew  ) at the 1982 VFL Grand Final between Carlton and Richmond?

One to get the Aussies (well the civilised ones anyway) back in the game.

clue: She made a beeline for Bruce Doull.
