Third Wanted for Friday Breakfast

Post by milkman » July 25, 2022, 3:42 pm

We are a group of three friends who get together Fridays at 10 am at my place near Nong Sim. We have breakfast (prepared by my maid or wife), eat and chat. One of us is going on a fairly long trip, so we'd like to find someone who would like to fill in. Perfectly okay to come just once to meet us and never come again- we'd love to meet you and won't be offended in the least. Who are we? One of us is a retired executive at 7/11 who also taught English at Rajabhat for some years.

The other (me!) was a speech teacher in America and has written a number of popular books: Everything Men Know about Women (a blank book), Conversationally Speaking (a book that teaches simple skills for starting conversations, talking interestingly, complimenting, etc.), Lifeskills for Adult Children, and How I Moved to Thailand: Retired Early, Found Love, Built a Mansion, and Live Like a individual on a Pension.

For Christ sake you miserable lot, if somebody takes up the offer, don't leap in and hurl insults at any of the parties involved like you did last time.

Should be ok this time as everyone is now aware that what was obvious to most people was not in fact what the OP meant. It may help avoid the miss assumption in future if the thread had a different title, as anyone unfamiliar with the previous thread would automatically assume the same as before

Anyone like who? Do we have a sudden influx of new members or what?

Anyway, hoping the OP finds some interesting Friday breakfast buddies.

Been scanning posts on Grinder Stats? Peer groups meeting for breakfast on a regular basis is not unusual, that is all this and the prior post states. Posted on an open forum, they should be taken as read. Goes to show, sick minds can twist anything.

It is one thing to think outside the box, it is not however necessary to air those thoughts on an open forum especially when it is offensive

"Peer groups meeting for breakfast on a regular basis is not unusual"

may be not to you, but the first time in my near 70 years i'd ever heard of it was about a month ago on here.
Funnily enough thinking about it, In best part of 60 yrs watching breakfast adverts (food/drink), and hundreds of films/tv progs, I have yet to see ONE peer group sitting down with their cornflakes for brekkie :-k

The rest of the world does not have to be subservient to your experience. There is a major website called meetup with thousands of members, there is Rotary, Apex Clubs, SWP (salespeople with a purpose) and many, many others. If Kellogs choose to make ads as they see fit, so what?

However, nothing justifies offensive posts on any open forum.
