So Graham Swann the gobby chairman of Scunthorpe United FC has his own point of view reference footballers and clubs during the C19 crisis .. thus bringing shame onto this great Northern tourist and world sporting hotspot .. and by the sounds of it has really revved up Gary Neville.

Just how the hell Swann thinks hes gonna get any decent player to sign for the club in the future with this attitude is blooming crazy .. WAFT

heres the article and vid ..

Mr Swanns response now is different from what he said initially ie"if the league's are suspended then players wages should be suspended "
Now he is saying even if some are furloughed they will get paid 100%.
Take my local club Macclesfield.... the players weren't paid on time even before Covid 19.
I fear the club will fold after nearly 140 years.

Swann always has been a -------- and now hes back tracking on what he actually said and Neville pulled him on .., he needs to move on and make way for some one whose heart is in the club as his ego n self importance holds no bounds .. i for will dance a jig when he does go , ever since he sacked Graham Alexander and changed the ground name with no fan consultation many dislike him .

I was watching an old movie on the internet, Desert Mice, starring Sidney James, 1959. Sid was playing the leader of a hapless vaudeville group entertaining the troops (WWII) in N. Africa. Halfway through the movie Sid said "things could be worse remember Scunthorpe".

There are several great things to come out of Scunthorpe, The Rd to Messingham, the Rd to Winterton, the Rd to Keadby...... I remember driving past in May '74 and was taken with it's overwhelming lack of anything nice.

Enoch Powell had fond memories of the place, real simpatico with the natives he later claimed....

They're at it again.
I was reading a blog on Stickboy Bangkok about a farang in quarantine in Bangkok:
https://www.stickboybkk.com/opinion/a-s ... ng-part-2/
and then this came up,
"Mentally process the odds of them actually checking me out at 8am. Decide Scunthorpe winning the FA Cup would be more likely (edit: I was right)."

From TV:
"Many guys retire with a reasonable amount of life savings, so this attention from young females is unusual and sometimes flattering.
They start to get into a routine of sitting in bars drinking beer all day and of course meeting loads of friendly young females.
Many end up buying or building homes up north, and even moving to live with their Thai wives and the Thai family.
Sometimes it works, but more often you hear about Bill from Sculthorpe who has lost all his life savings, when the wife leaves him, and the family keep the house he paid for and built."

Must of seen you coming numb nuts.. btw strict entry rules meant you would have been turned away .. as semi literate plastic scouse cabbies decked out in lilac attire are very close to the top of the list for being banned... knowing your poor reading skills you probably went to Nunsthorpe

Back on topic .. ive asked a mate back in Scunny to send some up to date photos of the great place .. apparently hes waiting for the steel works soot fall out to clear... i know many members will be keen to see the images .

I sent him a message, asking how long he thought it would take. He said "probably a while", and mumbled something about having to locate a Kodak shop to get the Brownie Box serviced.

He also denied he was your mate, and said he can't remember you having one all the time you were in Scunthorpe.

I'm sure I read an inoffensive post after mine above, from the Lilac Louche.

What happened to it?

EDIT: And now I can see it on my tablet, but not a while ago on my PC. Who knows what is going on.

Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Skegness, all places with Viking names.
